DON'T use 2 AV together!

But it'll be more secure isn't it?

Its not secure, its suicidal.......

Edit: Luminoso: I still had the tab open for the second page of your thread, and made an html backup of it. I also have a screenshotted backup of the first page, so although I don't have the souce, it can be easily remade without the offending material. Give me a ring if you want me to send it to you ^_^

wow. thank you so much sir. please send it by pm. what was the offending material?

URLs are not supposed to be posted (the reason for all of the private messaging), so I'm sure one of the moderators/admins deleted it. It was bound to happen.

@Admins & Moderators

1.

If URL-posting is not allowed... Is it allowed to add an URL like this:

h t t p : / / w w w . n s a n e d o w n . c o m /

OR

http://wwwDOTnsanedownDOTcom/

2.

Or someone can make a public TXT/XLS/DOC file with all updated links...

3.

Or is it possible for some 'topicmaster-users' (luminoso, jofre, marsupilami, ...) to add files on the nsane(forum)server ?

There must be some better solution than the PM-function :)

Luminoso, I sent you an MHTML backup of the first page, so I think everything is accounted for. :P

Hi,Fellows !

Found ESET Smart Security 3.0650 (Croatian Language) and a translator. So, now I have it in Portuguese Language.... :)

Used "marsupilami Fix4ever" the best fix let me say,, got my first manual update and only tomorrow I`ll see if still works automatically. But I am almost sure that there will be no problem . This Fix is really the best ... and I tested all of them.

Anyway, it seems to me v.3.0.650 (Croatian Language) is equal to English version 3.0.642.

What I dont understand is :- Why ESET changes version`s numbers if what they do is to change language ? Strange ,no ?

cheers

Jofre

Jofre,

Check out these instructions man, they both say "two different things".

In README.Marsupilami Fix.rtf it says to run the Marsupilami FIX "after restarting".

In Marsupilami_FIX.rar the readme.txt file says, Install Eset, and "then run the fix". Then Restart your pc, and update your Eset.

Thats it.......

Which is it, Install Eset, then Restart, then run the fix (TrialTrick4EsetV3x12.exe),

- or,

Install Eset, then run the fix, then restart ??

Regards,

Fuely

Hi,

some send me Marsupilami auto fix too? :)

by the way i heard that this fix just edits registry (am i right?).

so is it possible to get it in .reg form (not only in plain old application .exe form)?

this way it would not only be possible for people to see what is actually there, but also it would allow to edit the fix a bit if needed ;)

Three fixes exist.

Nodlogin: Acquires username/password credentials that are valid on official ESET update servers.

Third party update servers: Unofficial, unlicensed mirrors of the ESET update servers that do not require valid username/password credentials.

Registry fix: Delete, change, restrict permissions for a particular registry value. (I won't say which value it is since their is school of thought that keeping it obscure will keep ESET from fixing it -- I disagree, I think ESET are fully aware but consider it a calculated risk as part of their business model -- however I'm willing to respect the opinion of others.) This fix either extends the trial period by a massive amount, or continually resets it to 30/31 days.

The registry fix is what Box*, Marsupilami, Mara et. al. all use. The only difference between them is exactly what they do to the value (delete, change, restrict permissions), how they do this (manual .reg, service, scheduler, etc) and the installer they use (batch, UPX, MSI, etc).

Why the creators of all these variants aren't more transparent about what they're providing I do not know.

I'm going to repeat this one more time for clarity: If the fix isn't Nodlogin or third party update servers then it is the registry fix. It might come in different packaging but it does the same thing.

:)

hi marsupilami ,

can you tell me,

using your fix, do you reboot right after installing Eset, then run the fix ? ,

or do you install Eset, and right after that, run the fix, and then reboot ?

(just trying to get it straight, because it says both ways in the .rtf and .txt readme files)

Thank you

:fear:

I agree! :) and more:

GENERADOR works in the same line than NODLOGIN, but no putting in any user/pass to ESET software, and updating from previously downloaded updates to a HD folder.

The rest are the same, registry patches for trial working.

There is people that like constantly change "fixes", "patches", and his security software seems becomes second place.

It's a game (my opinion), but not over security issues! :frusty:

There is not a special order like on other cracks or patches. You may Install AV / Restart . Added eval_servers /restart. Installed Fix / Restart.
