Trying out the Nightly now, first impressions - it's very fast even without any adblocker or customization done(can only see things going better when those two are taken into account). ^_^

Tested out uBlock. Some good news for uBlock and Nightly users.

The stable version of ublock present at the AMO, is much more compatible with the Nightly version than it is with the stable version. There is no delay in hiding the blocked element(no flickering as well) as is there in the stable version of Firefox.

Will try out the hybrid version of uBlock in a while.

p.s I'm not shifting to uBlock, just testing it out. I love my Adguard :lol:

Not really noticed any problem with the hybrid version as well.

@dcs18 Is Adguard filtering https connection in the Nightly at your end?

AFAIR, it use to work with Nightly without any problem but now, in my system it's working only for http connection.

Wanna know if it's an Adguard bug or my configuration. :think:

There's a new bug in the latest beta uBlock 1.13.9.b.0 which makes it the world's greatest popup blocker — just try clicking on any links at nSane which point to an external destination. :lol:

It's working fine, at my end — just restart your Nightly after re-installing your Adguard Certificates.

I tried uBlock 1.13.9.b.0 with Nightly(21.07.2017), and there was no problem in accessing the external links from nSane.

I have this enty in my uBlock :

no-popups: * true

What exactly is happening in your browser? Is it blocking access to external sites categorizing them as popups(I may have something in mind about that)?

So, it's my PC that is the culprit.

I tried reinstall certificate option, tried manual import of certificate and also a new profile altogether but nothing helped.

I was really looking forward to adopting the Nightly as my daily driver. :(

Ah, just now noticed it, happens when I'm chosing Open Link in new tab from context menu. And it's happening with even first party links opened like I just mentioned.

Working it out now.

Compared to the stable Firefox, what is your experience with the IDM advanced integration, on the Nightly?

Since I am not too much familiar with the nuances of uBlock(been a long time since I used it for a considerable time), the only thing I could come up was to disable the popup toggle in uBlock and mange popups either through creating filter rules or to use uMatrix.

Capturing downloads from nsanedown - OK

IDM panel on What are you listening to Thread - OK

IDM panel on YT website - OK

IDM was not opened beforehand in any of these instances.

But you won't believe me I know. That's alright. ;)

It is not IDM that is the problem for me, it's Adguard :(

My switching to Nightly is solely delayed on integrating Adguard with it.

Just ensure that the following 2 option boxes are enabled, in Adguard:—

  • Use WFP network driver
  • Filter HTTPS protocol

In case you find both already enabled:—

  • disable both those option boxes
  • disable Adguard protection from the SysTray, via right-click
  • enable both those option boxes
  • enable Adguard protection from the SysTray, via right-click

I will try once more but believe me I have tried it all, the certificate is there in nightly but Adguard is not filtering any https website.

Finally, it worked. A system restart was all that was required. Sometime the simplest of things can give such a pain. :lol:

OK, you asked for this one — a quote originally attributed to Troy Martin, adopted subsequently for the character of Stella, a role enacted by the gorgeous  Charlize Theron for the movie, The Italian Job:—

Last time you LMAOed me on saying the same thing about IDM.

I even left you the choice of either seeing it yourself or giving your Firefox profile to test IDM in the same conditions.

Spoke too soon. After browser restart, the problem returned. So, Adguard on Nightly is a no go for me. :(

That was not WRT with anything to do with your IDM integration — my funny bone got tickled with the payload which e10s (with more than 5 process counts) was placing on your Firefox.

FWIW, I know that the IDM integration is working perfectly for you.

Been running 10 process on both my stable and Nightly firefox since then.

How to hide the 'Send Page/Link to Device' from context menu in Nightly? :think:

Spoiler

@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

@-moz-document url(chrome://browser/content/browser.xul) {

#context-sendlinktodevice {
    display: none !important;
    }
}
