Thanks also LeetPirate

Used your tasks xml docs with server 2008 scheduler and so far so good. Have got all three progies running.

Also was able to make a task xml doc for nodlogin. So all three are added to task scheduler.

As you can tell your post helped alot. Thanks for your efforts.

I don't know why ESET goes through the trouble of blacklisting our little tools, lol. It's pretty obvious that 99% of the people who use these tools know to just add them to exceptions list and the other 1% should do it because Ulisessoft puts instructions with pictures too, lol. You should take off UAC in vista, that annoying thing bothers you for every little descision. I am yet to witness a case where UAC has saved someone from self destructing their PC, if anything all it does is hinders productivity.

Ya LeetPirate I find that if you set up an administrator account in vista the UAC quits nagging you. Don't even have to turn it off. Go to Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Local Securities Policy\Local Policy\Security Options\and "enable" administrator account status in right pane.

Then reboot and you will find an administrator account on your logon screen. Use that account and you will not be harassed by UAC

Also just to share my experience with using the GetValidID v2 by DenniZ.vbs fix. I had a hard time getting it to work on Vista, I had to make a few changes. First when you install the file it adds scheduled tasks in Nod32 but there were errors there. The program files directory was wrongly named "programmi" which I suspect is made for a different language of windows maybe.

So edit the task and fix the last box which says Parameters:

"C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\GetValidID v2 by DenniZ.vbs" /s

yes, sorry :D this was my first script to make an installer...it is made from an italian version xp...now i'm trying to fix this...

thx for the report

ok, i fixed the problem of the getvalidid installer

i had some problem with the variable of the install path in the registry...

it is uploaded at mediafire, the share code is /?4amssbztlc2

LeetPirate, thx for the report. i also used your modified version of the file...

remember to install the program in the eset folder (the silent version of the installer is only if you have installed eset in the standard path)

say me if there are some problems, thx!

Could someone explain how NodEnabler 2.81 works? I launched the setupx86.exe file, then clicked 'Just do it', and nothing seemed to happen. My trial still have 5 days left in it.

Please provide these applications with a Readme file next time in order to prevent such confusion. :)

Is it supposed to install a nodeenable.exe file in my ESET directory? Because I just can't find that file. What's wrong here?

Look in Program Files..Eset and you should see the executable. Execute this and it should put a license in for you. You can schedule this in Eset as well. Set it for every hour or whatever is your preference

Figured the problem, I had to run the patch as Administrator, stupid Vista.

Anyway, it's saying "License status: Ok", but my current license still has 4 days left. Will it update the license only when the current one expires?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

bekn :

1 = Install ESET latest version 3.0.672 ( Download on =ESET Ultimate Topic =here on this forum) and do not add username or password during installation.

2 = Restart PC

3 = Apply Patch NodEnabler 2.81 (also you can find it at =ESET Ultimate Topic=).

4= It`s done.

It will updates (if necessary) everytime you start or reboot Computer, by inserting new keys provided by web pages. That`s the way it was done. Of course you can schedule it the way you prefer.

64bit users: Must turn off UAC. That is all.

If you don`t know what UAC is, ask the penguin on your desktop...

------------------------------------------------------------------

A simple THANKS will not take time .. but it will surely encourage others to help...

------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers

Jofre

Your license expiry date (4 days) does not really matter - anyways, ESET blacklists these 'Username' & 'Password' combinations on a daily basis.By default, NodEnabler will update your combination each time you start your system (provided your internet is on.) Additionally or alternatively, you can always schedule it to update your combo as per your personal choice (I schedule NodLogin for every 5 hours and NodEnabler for every 7 hours.) My 2-fix schedules work for my kind of usage - you may need to customize your schedule as per your personal usage.

Don't worry, too much - as Jofre states (most of us don't face any sort of update problems, anymore.)

Hey guys, does anyone have problem with trial fixes not working. I just installed Vista Ultimate x64 and EsetBoxMara- fix which always worked perfectly for me and now it won't convert to trial. Did eset changed something? When I apply the fix it can connect to server without the password and user name but it reports that there is not updated virus definitions. Also, friend told me that he also does not get updates on XP Pro too. He also just installed NOD and it won't convert for him to trial, too. Any suggestion? Please don't recommend other fix, because I want to keep using this trial type fixes.

Cheers :coolwink:

Well I know how all this fixes works. Marsufix will also add eset_eval servers, as EsetBoxMara- fix did, but it won't convert to trial. Anyway, I'm willing to try it. Can you PM me with a link, or point me to the post where link for this fix is located? Thanks.

Cheers

Oh, yes you are right, I forgot that it is on frontpage. Anyway, I managed to convert to trial using EsetBoxMara- fix. I just kept pressing to update and it cached it. After that definition update worked fine. It seems that Eset servers still have some problems, at least problem with converting to trial.

Cheers ;)

Ya I've been running into hints of a new nod32 version 683 coming soon. Anyone verify this. Of course it's not on esets site. Just curious.

I deny that for the moment, only torrent sites are currently promoting this version. Probably fake with viruses so I wouldn't try it out ;)

Search for this in google and you'll see my point: 'ESET "3.0 683" -torrent' without the first and last quote signs.

the v683 is not release yet

This is pre-cracked version no need to crack or keygen or patch

NodEnabler creators are preparing a new version 3. Just hope they give to users the hypothesis to add new web pages that provide new keys everyday.

Actual v. 2.81 works fine !

cheers

Jofre

PS :- ESET 3.0.683 ? Nah ! That`s fake version surely !
