shajt
Yeah I am the same way about SpeedFan.. don't know why.. CoreTemp is plugin... you have to find.. I had it until it got picked up as a FP.. and removed.. I started to worry for while.. about it and two others... I would be careful though.. because some plugins can be VERY Buggy.. to the point you can start to have issues.. so sometimes it can be better to just steer clear.. after I had all of the problems with it I think I removed it.. I will give it a look and if you need them I can probably get them to you.. Edit I seen a version of Arkan Tab this week... Featured except it had been modded for the bottom of the screen .. Yeah, I remember long time ago I used SpeedFan and it was unstable, maybe it's better now, but I don't really need temp measures anyway. And I feel with Speedfan I would also receive BSOD's here and there :) As for coretemp plugin , I have it but maybe it's working only with one core cpu's , don't know. Doesn't matter, I'll edit that one and remove line which measures cpu temp. I concur , it's better to stay clear from them , not because they are viruses or something, but I think every measure config is eating resources / cpu usage. HX1
Yeah exactly... very true... and most of the time when I upgrade Rainmeter.. I wipe everything out... that I can and reinstall fresh..Why even when I used to run Windows Sidebar on XP with Alky I went with Samurize..( The method is better - wish someone would update it for 7 though - of course it could be down to the skins too ) because it used like moderate 4% Spikes on 1.7 GHz Celeron.. where if I tried to do the same on the Windows Sidebar.. it would consume a constant 22% ... a bit buggy and in some cases it was supposedly about the .NET Framework that was used..according to the author.. and that he needed to work on it..( The gadgets themselves..) Still have all of them for some reason though.. LOL - not in use..) but it never really came about..I know that monitoring of several cores can be done....I have seen it done several times.. but not for sure about it.. as I only have one.. and never really looked into it. *dcs18
Just wanted to know how you guys put your icons/quick launch in middle. Am I missing an easy tweak? :unsure:There're many software that will center-align icons on your 'Superbar' like XWindows-Dock, Yz-Dock, RocketDock, RK-Launcher, Stardock ObjectDock, etc., etc. ;) There's also a trick (without using software.) Not posting it here since it's not a true center-align effect that you get (what you do get is some ill-effects.) 8) Either way, though - I doubt whether you get the benefits of jump-lists.
Administrator DKT27 Posted November 8, 2010 Administrator Share Posted November 8, 2010 I'm not talking about Docks. I'm taking about icons in middle on a normal taskbar. Take KotaXor's desktop for an example.

It will appear near the notification at the taskbar. Click on it and uncheck "Show title" and "Show text", the name will disappear. Drag the blur bar nearby all the way to the left, that is towards the Start Orb, you will see all you icons moves to the right. Just drag it back and position it where you want it and finally lock the taskbar. You can delete the "whatever you like" folder on your desktop. Hope my explanation is clear enough! HX1
@DKT I like how you cleaned up, i cleaned mine up by turning off desktop shortcuts and installed rainmeter as much as i loved using it, it caused issues with my other hardware/software for some reason :| but i'm not too bothered lol Whats you system spec and OS.. What sort of issues did you have when running it? and What skins.. or type of monitoring was used? System Summary & Hardware Summary attatched : I was using the gnometer skin and had the system info, iTunes bar, recycle bin and the the folders, as the rest is monitored by windows gadgets. Any help would be appreciated :) Thanks Hottwire Hey not for sure which AV Protection you are using.. BUT.. have you tried adding Exclusion for these locations... ' ( Local Hard Drive ):\Program Files\Rainmeter\* ' - Asterix means all files and Folders, ' *.* ' will only do the files under that directory and not exclude the folders..which is how ESET will add it by default.' ( Local Hard Drive ):\Users\ -AccountName- \AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter\* '' ( Local Hard Drive ):\Users\ -AccountName- \Documents\Rainmeter\* ' - OR if you have changed this location.. change it to that.. There is a known problem with Rainmeter freezing up by itself not the system stop you experienced.. with ESET... and they recommend that an exclusion be made for these directories... On the other thing.. I searched their forum.. and found a couple of threads which mention this problem.. I have posted about it.. and I am going to see what happens as I believe, I am also having this issue.. Rainmeter Thread...

HX1
Thought I would post one of a very common form of Rainmeter skin... Going through doing some housekeeping .. fixing broken configs and getting themes created... The background is from a package called 'Terrestrial' come with several versions.. The skin is called 'Carbon'... Still have to indicate the directory for my notes... 'Button-Bottom' Config.. and then the 'Button-Right'.. ( Only two more themes to go .. LOL.. ) But only to show the desktop off.. LOL

HX1
DK.. I found a picture for wallpaper and thought about sending you the link.. because it was ' space-ish '... but I think now you just like blue.. Three from my recent stint revamping my Rainmeter installation, fixing configs and creating working themes for each one.. Elementary, Lines 3, and Rig.. Wallpaper is by ether, the other two have been taken from still photography of an actual sculpture.. and an edit of wall sconce.. ( sad part, I took 31 more screen shots.. not counting the three above.. or these..and I have still NOT gotten them all in .. )Will be uploading the new package tonight or tomorrow..maybe.. not for sure how this is going to work exactly.. Administrator DKT27 Posted November 17, 2010 Administrator Share Posted November 17, 2010 @Night Owl: Thanks. :D@heath: Nice. :)Don't be mistaken, I do like space pics, it gives depth that no other pics do, don't like a wallpaper, I like a depth pic. And blue, well, that's a bonus. :P
