The latest IDM CC 7.3.100 add-on made compatible for Users of the latest Firefox tested working on the V40 (Users of higher versions - please report whether it is working, for you):—

https://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ozfp8bp6uz3vu10 F3h9xqz.gif

Still getting error message with v4.0 b2

Yes, you are right — better to wait for the new IDM release. :(

Little wonder we were failing - IDM now, requires 2 add-ons to defeat the new add-on-signing, implemented by Mozilla.

You seem to be adding both the .xpi file, is it so?

Nope, no manual addition was made — did you try on a clean profile?

This IP is not new in the sense that it was there when the first of the 169.xx.xx..xx series, IP was found.

It has always been in existent since then using the same url. ;)

then, why idm did not try to call this IP when it's not yet on the block list.

a bit weird,

does it mean this IP not contains signature key to verify SN online ?

or is idm only calling homepage then redirected to IP which contains signature key to verify SN online ?

IDM does not call home on every IP that is owned by its Publisher, Tonec — it does not even call on the 25th IP which you had suggested. :)

Your suggested IP was included only on an inclusive basis — just as an additional insurance. ;)

My apologies, just used a new Firefox profile and installed IDM fresh - only one IDM is now detected . . . . . . . . you were right. F3h9xqz.gif

Just to make sure which IP is being called when I click update ;)

From the IDM GUI, you can use Add browser and then browse to the Cyberfox installation to select your Cyberfox executable, as illustrated below:--

Kaspersky or ESET ESS ?

I've been an Eset user for a long time ,but i'm not a fan of their new gui :(

Yet another program forcing the fugly metro crap on us.

Is Kaspersky as good as ESET ?

Eset has done a good job protecting my computer ,but if Kaspersky has better gui i might switch.

GUI isn't something that protects your computer but it's the engine that does it. Moreover, Kaspersky is a very good antivirus in the market currently. It's a good option to switch to if your current antivirus fails to protect you.

As good as?

By far, BETTER when it comes to Protection.

When it comes to System Impact, ESET is lighter.
