Firstly A.lemane, would one really need a patch just for the sake of creating one simple rule? Besides, the detection of your patch is increasing by the day — it is now 24/56 (Kaspersky is not yet detecting it — not everyone else uses Kaspersky, though.) :dunno:

Secondly, most folks who use Windows Firewall Control (WFC,) have adopted this tamper-proof implementation — there is the following check-point which won't allow your patch to create that rule:—

Thirdly, anyone who has ever tried to use less than the 25 IPs prescribed at the OP, has invariably met with failure. The biggest known failure was NOP-X4 who made the ridiculous and uneducated claim that he could own IDM with just 4 IPs. :lmao:

The Wow6432Node key indicates a x64-bit OS:—

The AdvIntDriverEnabled2 refers to whether you have enabled Advanced Browser Integration or not — yours is enabled.

I am not sure of the InstallStatus value, though — it looks to be an indication of whether IDM is installed or not.

Does it have anything to do with this one?

Please note that IDM has per computer license. In order to use IDM on several computers at the same time please obtain licenses for each one. If you use the same serial number on several computers it will be blocked automatically and you will have to purchase a new license.

You can however use IDM on several operation systems installed on the same computer.

If you need to change your computer and want to transfer IDM, you just need to uninstall it from old computer and then install and register on a new one. In this case serial number will not be blocked.

If you often reinstall your system on the same computer, please download and install the latest version of IDM. It has additional binding to the hardware and will not block your serial number if you use it on one computer. Also it is always better to use the same computer name after each reinstall.

My son uses a genuine, purchased IDM and yes, have noticed that IDM does bind to the hardware and then call home with the details — the reason why some of us find it useful to use a firewall (regardless of whether the license is genuine or not.) ;)

Your favorite Kaspersky seems to have let you down — this time, WRT to the new patch:—

The people who "need it" might also grow "just a little suspicious," after seeing the ominous Kaspersky report on your patch. :tehe:
