The new version of nodlogin (9.9a) insert the u/p without manually disabling self-defense!

Just tested:

Working fine, without the need to disable self-defense.(ie Enable self-defense is still checked).

Send Marik or jalaffa a PM with the new NodLogin and tell him Self-defense doesn't need to be disabled and therefore he should change the readme :P I won't be on for today, that's why :P

so weird, if self-defense enabled, nodlogin 9.9a can't insert the u/p here, what's wrong?

If this is true, then Self Defense option is useless. Did you reboot after you enabled Self Defense?

Cheers :frusty:

I'm already a subscriber to ulisessoft....i waited so long because I had to try it myself, and even if it worked for me, which it did, I also had to wait for more confirmations from our members.

edit: its updated now.

Of course I reboot. :P

As we have mentioned, if someone can disable self-defense, so can hacker and virus.

Nod32 does not have self defense initially, and it was performing well then.

The choice is yours!

For the link to Nodlogin_9.9a, it should be in the fp by now!

@mara- if NodLogin found a way to bypass Self-defense maybe you can do it too?

Going to test this version on Nod32 v2.7 to see if there is any problem. :frusty:

Yap, it is working on Nod32 v2.7 too

Well, it seems that I was wrong. Eset self-defense has some use. New NodLogin is really funny. It does not put username and password directly to registry. I installed it and I could sow how it inserts the license. It uses AutoIt window controls. I could see how it opens the Eset window and types the user name and password to corresponding fields. Creator of NodLogind did not manage to break Self Defense.

Cheers :frusty:

EDIT:

@shought

You can see what I wrote. For now Self Defense can not be bypassed. Creator of NodLogin did not manage to do it. NodLogin now works same as you would enter username and password. When NodLogin is activated, it opens Eset window, it click on Update button, then it clicks to Username and password setup, types username and password, clicks OK and closes the window. Since I'm working directly with registry, for now there is no way for me to bypass Self-Defense. If I just could bypass it so easily, then this option would be really useless as I first thought, but it seems that it is not.

mara- is currently letting me Beta test his new fix and it'll probably be Final this evening. It will require Self-defense to be disabled, but as I told before this really isn't a big risk.

hello mara-

Since you are working directly with registry, there is no way to modify registry before Eset Self-Defense launch ? (in the logon/boot process)

that way maybe the trial will be reseted w/o disable Eset Self-Defense?

or maybe in the logout process for the next time you launch your computer ?

I got a problem with the new nodlogin. I can't install it because it won't overwrite 9.8 and it says i don't got permissions (using vista, i'm a admin, same problem with administrator account) to delete the nodlogin.exe in the eset-folder.

How do i install it then? :|

First remove the old NodLogin(so just remove the EXE) and then install the new one.

i just uninstall ESS 3.x and fix, and reboot.

i then install ESS 4.x (choose update parameter later), and install nodlogin 9.9a (option manual).

i reboot.

nodlogin say the inserted serial work 100% of time, and ESS say that the login/pass is wrong.

i don't know if most login/pass of nodlogin are already blacklisted for now, or if the server can return a login/pass error because they are busy (probably not)...but i try to put a login/pass manually from a "login site", and it update, first time, no problem.

only luck?

i will probably try the new mara-fix, in a few weeks (or before)

the old fix was working great
