Hi,I use eset 6 cracked,i setup anti theft at installation months ago,now it give me a anti-theft audit warning that Trial license has expired,the app works and updates fine.Can I still use anti-theft or just disable it to get red of the notification?

I've noticed that after installing Eset Smart Security 7.0.302, connecting to the internet on startup now takes about 90 seconds. Any fix for this would be greatly appreciated.

Update offline for ESET 5:

License: http://tnoduse2.blogspot.com/ (Add this to Exclusions as ESET will block it because it provides free keys)

Edit the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Info\PackageFeatures

EAV: 2 => 0

ESS: 3 => 1

Use PCHunter to bypass NOD32 Self-Defense and edit the registry directly without turning off the NOD32 Self-Defense: http://www.xuetr.com/download/PCHunter_free.zip

Extract the Database, change the NOD32 Update Server to the Database directory, launch the update and enjoy.

ESS 6 & 7 has not much difference from ESET 5, You can use whatever u want.

I think it's a bit more difficult to update offline because editting the package features affects the GUI.

I've just replaced webroot with Eset AV. Thought I'd give it another go as I've never really got on with it before.

I wondered what setting people use for the HIPS?

I went for interactive but it asked about everything, Windows etc. Was too much.

Does it settle down after a while or better to use another setting?

If you are sure that your PC is malware free , you could set ESET to `learn` for a few days and then in `Interactive` mode .

In my case ESET is making my internet browsing a bit slower, I have ESET set to Interactive mode, so I'm not 100% sure if I've done something wrong. I do have Cyberfox In/Out allowed in ESET firewall.

And sometimes some of the websites does not load at all because of ESET, but that's not so big problem though.

I'm having internet problems too with the AV. Slow or not loading.

Eset update never finishes either. says

Virus signature database update ended with an error

maybe you need to purge your update cache if the same problem happen, only if you install ESET again :lol:

I tried all that lots of times. The worst was the web not working. Waiting for 5mins to search and load pages. Couldn't look for a solution as it was so slow. lol

I just got my laptop working a bit faster, I mean when I search the web while running ESET, here's what I did:

• Clean install.
• ESS7 install.
• Change ESS Firewall mode to Interactive.
• Change ESS HIPS mode to Interactive.
• Resolve Host Names with ESS.
• Do not generate memory dumb with ESS.
• Disable ESS Livegrid.
• Do not configure ESS to use proxy.
• Done.
