Even if uninstalled and reinstalled new version, I still receive the message "IDM has been registered with a fake serial number or the serial number i has been blocked............." Uninstalled all for the tenth time, I don't know what to do, be careful KIS identify non updateable as a virus....maybe a false positive, maybe not..... Capitan Posted January 1, 2020 Share Posted January 1, 2020 To the people that are receiving the annoying pop-up of fake serial here's what i did for myself and it worked. 1- Export "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager" registry key. (If you want to keep your settings and download history). 2- Uninstall IDM with Total Uninstall, maybe Revo Uninstaller will work too. 3- REBOOT PC. 4- Install IDM. 5- Open/import the registry key you saved on step 1. 6- Run the cleaner i posted above (https://www.nsaneforums.com/topic/361247-internet-download-manager-636-build-1/?do=findComment&comment=1541929) 7- Copy the Actver .dll into IDM instalation folder.
