that's cool ;)

but do you seriously use your machine with no wallpaper etc ?

your setup reminds me of Windows 2000 or XP with theme support turned off lol

edit:

in comparison here is what my window looks like (Windows default + oem logo)

i just don't get how people think Windows 8 looks better in any way shape or form

to me it's worse in every single aspect from icons to window shapes to colors to transparency etc..

Now, your desktop seems complete. :)

However, red and black ain't my colours. And to see other themes posted, the forums that you are linking to require registration, which I'm in no mood now. :P

It looks like the Windows 8 walls are ruling this thread, by far. :D

The thing I don't like in Windows 8, and in IE 10, is the scroll-bar!

Its so hard to see and it looks ugly...

Also its stupid to edit System rating xpmule :P

As for the Win8 theme, I like the simplicity in it, but with Win7 Aero flavor B)

It's not about purpose - that's nothing but juvenile boasting (hence, the word fudge was used instead of the one used by you - edit.)

That scroll-bars are just as ugly as Win8 ones. No offense :P

Do you ever post Desktops, here or only critique others' work?

I respect only those who add value to others. ;)

The red hexagons are blurred.

I couldn't make out - where are the blurred hexagons that you were referring to?

It really depends upon the end-user.

I've kind of tried to have two themes: one for day and one for night. The day one is pretty much the W8 default. The night one can be seen below. I've used themes for FF and Chrome, stylish css for Google and Youtube, and a modified userscript js for the rest of the web (as a night mode option). The main windows theme is Dark8 (using UxStyle).

Edit: I realize this is a post about desktops, not themes in general. Here is a link to an example of the theme. Below is the desktop:

A little bit off-topic but for xpmule and others who like dark themes :P

Its a theme for Firefox which I'm currently using and it looks amazing. Check it out: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/ft-deepdark/
