How you are using Defensewall and Sandboxie? together (the 2 in real time)? or added the Sandboxed apps to Defensewall exclusions and added C:/Sandbox to Defensewall protection?? How you are using Defensewall and Sandboxie? together (the 2 in real time)? or added the Sandboxed apps to Defensewall exclusions and added C:/Sandbox to Defensewall protection??sandboxie is in untrusted app w/in defensewall ... so everything that runs under sandboxie will automatically run untrusted in defensewall ... if anything pass through sandboxie (w/c is unlikely) defensewall will come to the rescue. I like this setup for it is very light and effective ... no need for a real-time antivirus for me. I scan from time to time using hitman pro though just to be sure. I used this defensewall/sandboxie combo in the same way sometime ago... the only problem i noticed in that time is the increase time in opening some apps.... nothing much.... but if comparing with the security acquired... for sure you can live with that

Either you are lying or this is a provocative reply to make others start barking!!! For starters don't tell me you are substituting a main antivirus system like Eset or Kaspersky for Windows Essetials. Your PC must be quite infected by the way. In my case trojan remover has never had a chance to remove anything thanks to Eset or Kaspersky. My favourite security set ups nowaday are: On my desktop, I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 :dance2: .It has everything and is excellent: Antivirus, Antispyware and anti-trojan components, 2 way-firewall, sandie-box, anti-logger, ....everything.+ Malwarebytes' Antimalware :D . On my laptop Eset Smart Security which is also very complete and very good + Malwarebyte+ IO Bit Security. I used to have Lavasoft to counter-attack leaks in defense unti it became incompatible with Eset :( . Why aren't you a moderator any longer? Lack of time? Bye. Marik
Either you are lying or this is a provocative reply to make others start barking!!! Why would I lie, that doesn't even make sense. I was just saying what my security spec was. And why would I wanna start an argument war over something so trivial as security setup? But you're right. How dare I post my oppinion on a forum! I should burn in hell for my sinful act  For starters don't tell me you are substituting a main antivirus system like Eset or Kaspersky for Windows Essetials. And what would you do, if I say yes? And besides, even when I had eset, I kept it closed for the most part, cause whatever sites I browsed were safe. Now don't go telling me that sites like animedownloadcenter, NyaaTorrents or mangashare are full of bloatware. Weather I chose an av over eset or kasp at the end of the day, is still my choice. It's a matter of personal taste after all. Just because 90% of the forum uses these av's, doesn't mean I should use it as well....I admit, at first, I was an eset fanatic, but I just got tired of it just sitting around, detecting nothing cause of the little sites I was browsing. Seemed like a waste of time to even keep it around. Your PC must be quite infected by the way. In my case trojan remover has never had a chance to remove anything thanks to Eset or Kaspersky. And you say that because I don't have eset or kaspersky, or just because of an assumption? My PC is quite safe. The only things MBAM picks up are the reg keys I chose to disable from the security center. And hijackthis isn't detecting anything in particular. Trojan remover detects nothing....spybot s&d also detects nothing.....I installed hitman pro, which also picked up nothing.....so why would I still need a real-time protection av around, when all I browse are anime based forums and warez sites like ND, appznet and d3scene? Why aren't you a moderator any longer? Lack of time?Something like that. I recently moved to a bigger apartment, and am in the midst of unpacking...you wouldn't believe how much s**t I have, that only belongs to me....and since I'm such a lazy bastard when it comes to unpacking, moving from the bed to the PC actually takes some time. Not to mention the fact that I have other numerous chores to attend to, but once I finish the unpacking, I'll return to my duties as a moderator. Sl@pSh0ck™
I agree w/ Marik ... use the tools that would work for you ... I myself don't even use a real-time AV and I browse "unfriendly sites" ... no AV can save your a$$ when it comes to 0 day malware ... you can only depend on your own.
