In kaspersky, are you blocking it at network(system level) or application(IDM level)?

Also, simple IP blocking in WInFW doesn't work anymore.

You would be shocked if you knew the number of non-IDM IPs the CIDR method blocks — it's anyways impotent, ATM.

If Kaspersky possesses domain-blocking, just use the following 10 domains (with the 33 IPs listed on the OP) — it will start working even with a blacklisted key and/or contaminated registry:—

cmul.net

dyxnet.com

iivx.com

internetdownloadmanager.com

netdna-ssl.com

registeridm.com

sl-reverse.com

softlayer.com

theplanet.com

tonec.com

The way he is using it, it's only 1 IP just that it's in CIDR form, but yeah even CIDR doesn't work in Win FW for IDM.

Well, kaspersky doesn't accept domains like " netdna-ssl.com " , " sl-reverse.com " which has "-" in them -_- . . . Rest all blocked . .

Is Kaspersky now retaining your IDM activation (without any nag):—

  • after you use the Check for updates... via the IDM interface, and
  • after you finish downloading any file?

If you could mention completely the build, version, patch of your kaspersky, maybe someone can help or test it?

If domain-blocking is not working, on Kaspersky — I'd use it to block just the 33 IPs and block the 10 domains with DNSCrypt.

I haven't used TeamViewer in quite a while. I t was only recently that I had a session with @dcs18. I even forgot some of the basics :P

Good News:—

Windows Firewall Control (WFC) has just been updated.

Bad News:—

It still lacks domain-blocking capabilities and needs DNSCrypt. :P

Point to be noted, I don't know what was wrong with his config, as I didn't tinker much with them. Maybe the name(Deadman) is enough :hehe::tooth:

Does Kaspersky have full domain-blocking capabilities (inclusive of netdna-ssl.com and sl-reverse.com) like COMODO or does it need any additional hand-holding from other programs like DNSCrypt, Adguard, cFosSpeed, etc., etc? yXZVmpE.gif

Dunno, didn't have to modify any of those settings, he had that already fixed. But those two domains were not there. I will check it myself and report.

It just gives warning like this:   F.png

If i remove the " - " from the domain , then it gets accepted . .

ATM, those 2 domains (netdna-ssl.com and sl-reverse.com,) are not responsible for deactivation — however, all IDM domains as well need to be blocked just like all IDM IPs (Tonec can switch domains just as easily as they've been switching IPs.)

It would be worth using IPSec to block netdna-ssl.com and sl-reverse.com, as a precautionary measure.

Just another way of blocking domains with Kaspersky worth exploring. ;)

Anti-Banner just blocks banners from websites , it has nothing to do with full domain block . .
