echoes
you think it comes from this ?thanks
rudrax
If you are running lastest operating system, it is advised to use latest security products too for maximum compatibility & stability.I had similar error with ESET NOD32 AV v7. Then I cleared the cache, restarted the PC and tried again and then it worked. Edited April 8, 2014 by rudrax

dcs18
I'm using windows xp sp3.I'll try to install the v7 of eset.thanks. :)Also, today Microsoft stops supporting it's own baby, Windows XP. ;)
echoes
it's because windows stop support to xp that eset doesn't want to update ?? :(
rudrax
No that's exactly not what he meant. That's Eset's internal issue and has nothing to do with the OS.Then it comes the matter of sticking with Xp. It's your own choice unless you are aware of the fact that after closing the support your machine will be exposed to extreme vulnerabilities. If you do online banking or any other confidiential things, you should not be sticking with windows xp anymore after the support ends.If you are not wanna upgrade due to minimal hardware, there's a good news for you. With Windows 8 SP2 (AKA - Windows 8.1 update 1) MSFT has lowered the hardware requirements. Now you can run 32-bit version of their latest operating system with just 10GB of HDD and 1GB RAM.Only when you will need the lastest OS to behave in its peak, you will need to upgrade your CPU (in case, you have a very old CPU). A $30 CPU will be enough in that case.

Loboron
New Problem-I have Eset Smart Security 7.0.302.26 and it's been working great for several months. I installed it with the EPA2014 and it worked perfectly, doing the updates, etc.Today as a result of another issue, I had to do a System Restore, the most recent restore available was March 5th 2014. I did all the required Windows updates, etc. However ESet keeps prompting me that the program needs updates for full protection. When I manually try by hitting updates, it says the sytem is up to date and it shows the date from the restore March 5th. The program continues the nag to update even after I rebooted.Help would be appreciated...Ron Edited April 12, 2014 by Loboron

iih1
If you're heavy internet browsing..then will much better choose ESET SMART SECURITY, My prefer setting of ESS Firewall and NET, HIPS/Guards switch to mode interactive..If you don't use for mobile protect, Anti Thief Could be skip.I use ESET it's never hungry for Memory. usage. :D
