I have Protocol filtering issue after importing my settings!

Before that it works as described: install, trial key, update, safe mod, PureFix, update. I am not clear why importing brake it?

I NEED my firewall settings, there are too many to write by hand again, please help! Or someone knows how to export firewall only?

Thanks.

Nope, not necessary if you already have a ESETV5 already installed and patched by the Fix 2.01 :)

Thank you. I was confused at first because I had fixed using the beta and figured I should use the beta to disable first. Well the beta had only one option which was "enable." So I disabled with the new version and then enabled. Duh. :) All fine so far.

I'm running Windows 7 x64. I installed PureFix 2.02 through Option 1. How do I know if Web Protection is working properly? Should I uninstall and reinstall through the Troubleshooting method?

Some users are having issues with the Web Protection in ESET v5 (Mainly Windows 7 x64)

You can try the following installation method to overcome this:

1. Uninstall ESET 5 + Reboot (Only if ESET is installed)

2. Install ESET 5

3. Activate trial license(using any made up email address)

4. Force a manual update - this will come through at around 15mb

5. Reboot in safe mode and run PureFix

6. Restart into normal mode and run and update again - this will come through at around 35-40mb

------------------------------

-: Changelog :-

------------------------------

Changes in v2.02

*Icons updated

*Fixed minor compatibility issue with ESET 4

Changes in v2.01

*Added ESET 5 compatibility

*Major re-write of the entire fix

*Added 'Extras' menu

*New feature to force boot into safe mode

*New feature to clear old ESET registry entries

Changes in v1.52

*Bug fixed which was causing PureFix to falsely report 'failed' on non-english OS's.

*Removal of 'Upgrade to full version' watermark from the Update tab.

*Greying out of 'Upgrade to full version' under Advanced settings > Update.

Well it looks like the fix works ok, but I keep getting this error when I try to access Advanced options section then all the GUI freezes. I think it's a bug. I get the same error in trial. I have Win 7 Pro X64.

The key can expire before the date specified above or not , Thanks PurplebeanZ = ]

There is no key. The date is just there for cosmetic reasons - I just picked that date off the top of my head :)

That was my approach too. On a system with the prior ESET PureFix v2b2 installed I got the message already installed when using the v2.02 Final. I did select disable and then re run the final fix after a reboot.

Good to know Eset PureFix 2.02 is now fronpaged... :dance2:

Thanks for informing us about it becoming final

...

Impressive thorough instructions given. Thanks a lot PurplebeanZ!
