PurplebeanZ

I have activated v4 versions using your v1.52 fix (also tried v5 rc without a fix using the built it trial license).

My install procedure was:

1) Clean install (I have install nod32 v5 final version on a completely new system - reformatted my hard drive).

2) Installed ESET V5 final version (5.0.93.0).

3) rebooted to safe mode.

4) started v2b fix and clicked on Enable (everything show SUCCESS).

5) rebooted again to windows and tried to update all day and still it did not update not automatically and not manually (tried about 50 times)..

thank you.

I have noticed another problem with PurplebeanZ v2b fix, when I rebooted again to safemode to disable the fix - the is no Disable button.

(I know that you changed this on v2.b so it will get uninstalled when we uninstall nod but still I will recommand to keeep it)

jofre

I will try to change the server to something else (different eset_eval server / private server)

but first I will try ro disable the fix without uninstalling nod32.

(i will also try eset_upd with my own license later. after the licensing serv will be OK).

When I turned my computer on today I noticed that Hips is disabled (but enabled in advanced setup) and web access protection is not functional. Anybody know why this is or how to fix it?

Also it doesn't update, I have 6461 and eset's page says 6463 is the latest.

Ok eset servers are back online, I have just got 6464 signature update from http://update.eset.com/eset_eval/...

so it was the server, v2b fix works fine (it is really weird that the server were not working for me for almost 10 hours!, there was not any problem with my internet connection)

PurplebeanZ

I still think you should add this:

1) Add the Disable button (so users can disable the fix without uninstalling eset and change the servers).

2) Allow the installation of the fix during the installation of nod32 and not only on safemode (like it was on v1.52)

3) Change the "No license" and remove the watermarks (cosmetic fixes).

really thank you, your fix is great..

When I open up M$ Outlook I get an error from ESET starting "error starting antispam engine [15] wtf is causing this? I am baffled!

Just wondering if it has anything to do with PbeanZ fix, prolly not though.

Have you checked your settings for addons in MS Office Security?.. Sometimes during the monthly updates there are issues that will suddenly disallow these fro working.. sometimes you ave to change settings but its been so long ago .. I would have to go through it to fix it exactly...

Well i have no idea what the problem is but when I try to add emails to my blacklist, scan messages or classify them as Junk, nothing happens. Everything is enabled in ESET so I am scratching my head!

Could be a possibility.. especially if this was working beforehand with 4...

Open Outlook, go to Options.. Then Trust Center... Then look for Trust Center Settings and go to Macro Settngs and see if Macro Security is turned on for Add-Ins..
