PurplebeanZ
Ok, I just did a clean install of ESS 4.2.71.2 and used PureFix 1.52. It said it installed and was enabled successfully. So I rebooted. This is what is happening now. Is this normal? When I hover over the icon in the system tray it says "virus signature database: ready"....I'm assuming this is normal and it means the fix has been successfully applied. But when I go to do updates, it says it already has the latest version.....but it's running 5781 which is the original update that shipped with it. It's from January 12 2011!!! How do I get it to update correctly? Thanks Reboot you pc and it should be sorted :)

princi
@ PurplebeanZ and to all users her:I have another question if you dont mind. I am a seaman or mariner, I used to go to seas with a couple of months. There is no internet connection there so it is not possible to update the virus database signature. *1.)Can this fixed eset program will update after a couple months I spend in in seas? Because I'm only curious about the the word you put in your craft " ESET Lifetime Updater."===If you answer "No", can you suggest an idea for me to do.======2.) What should i do if i encounter Invalid username and password?3.) Why is it if I click the virus database signature in the nod32 window it shows not the latest virus database signature. For example in my nod32 window i have 6045 update version but when click it shows in my browser 5630 update version. Any comment for that?I hope for your response guys. More power.I'm sorry my english is bad.

Bizarre™
@princi:The trial resetter is a one time tool since it's a set and forget fix. Also, x86 and x32 means 32-bit just simplified. The same goes for 64-bit ^_^

Bizarre™
@princi:The trial resetter is just that. It's a program that always reset the trial to 30 days. Now, what is the significance of the 30-day trial? It serves as a license / permit to update signature database provided you have internet connection. If for some reason I don't use a trial resetter, what will happen if the 30-day trial expires? Simple, no more updates to signature database.Let me get this straight, a trial resetter can operate with or without internet connection? Correct. So, it's only useful if there's an internet connection? Certainly not. NOD32 is set to update every hour.Once you establish an internet connection, NOD32 will automatically update.Although, for NOD32 to update the 30-day trial must not expire. And that's how useful the trial resetter is.Personally, I just grab a license floating around. If you're using the trial resetter, then you won't encounter Invalid username and password,Unless something went wrong with the trial resetter. Hopefully not.You mean this: LinkCan you provide a screenshot?

I have another mate question i'm just curious, why is it if you update nod32 it says virus signature database is up-to-date though it's not, for example you have 6045 v.s.d in your nod32 now but the latest update is 6047 why is it? toyo
@princi: you get a valid license by buying the application, or being lucky enough to find a promotion. Watch the forums, as members post promotions on a regular basis. For example, majithia23 found this: ESET 90 days Official License .1- Go here- http://bit.ly/dWxHz4 . use a 'Poland Proxy to visit the page .(get a list here - http://bit.ly/v8Tub ) 2- enter this Promotion code , PCW3-e2a53tda . 3- on next page give ur name and e-mail address.,enter email once more on the next page . 4- you have the License in your email .. :)
