UC Browser in the Windows Store

UC Browser is no stranger to Microsoft’s modern Windows platforms, as the app already existed on both Windows Phone and Windows 8 (there was even a Windows RT version specifically aimed at the Surface RT), so the developing team is now looking to continue its efforts with a universal app for Windows 10.

The company behind the app has hinted in a short tweet that a Windows 10 version of UC Browser could indeed be released, but the project is still under consideration right now, so more details will only be provided at a later time.

Certainly, UC Browser would be a nice addition to the Windows Store, especially given the fact that universal versions of the most popular browsers out there are still something you rarely see these days.

A rival to Microsoft Edge

UC Browser can already be downloaded on Windows phones, and the app works quite well, but with a Windows 10 version, the company would obviously tackle a bigger number of users, while also taking advantage of all the improvements that Microsoft introduced in this operating system.

A universal browser would come with the same look and features on all devices, so it’ll have the same interface and work in the exact same way on both PCs and devices.

Certainly, there’s a wide array of features that can be implemented into a universal browser, and Microsoft Edge itself is living proof in this regard. Cortana support and synchronization between devices would be two key features for such an app, but Microsoft is also pushing its app one step forward with the addition of extensions.

Microsoft Edge will finally get extension support with the arrival of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update next month, so there’s no doubt that UC Browser, if it indeed arrives on Windows 10 as a universal app, can become a rival to Microsoft’s new browser.

I never used it before  i know  its made by Chinese mobile Internet company UCWeb , I stopped using Opera because they sold out to China . But i uninstalled all the UWP  apps  i don't use them it should fit in real well with the rest of the Adware/ bloatware pre installs on Windows 10 out of the box :)

Microsoft Windows 10 apps are like useful Android apps on Windows. there are only few of them like 3D builder or maps that are used less often than others but the rest are pretty useful. Xbox app's integration with all games and its game bar and game DVR eliminates the need for multiple third party software for capturing and recording clips and screenshots. same as weather, news, calendar, mail etc.

there was a time when you looked at Windows apps list in store you would throw up but now it's richer than ever and comparing to Google's play store it got no shortage of useful apps. I read a lot of bloatware recently on this forum
