But how does something be popular among a group of select users of something that's only 11.85% O/S user base? Something stinks sounds like M$ PR too me. I can explain it this way, not every PC gamer uses Steam. not even half of them. it's just one of the many games' clients out there just slightly more popular than the others. there are others like Origin for EA games and Uplay for Ubisoft with decent user base and also Rockstar's Social Club supporting at the very least 8 million PC players of GTA V / Online, which makes Steam client pretty useless for this group of people. those were the online/multiplayer gamers, millions of other gamers use cracked version of games so either they won't be able to play games online or they play the online feature using software like Hamachi or Teamspeak to create local LAN between multiple remote locations in order to create their own private servers. so as you can see there are A LOT of players who are not being counted because they don't use only one game client. with these details I've given you you can say Windows users are largely consisted of gamers, even more than 50% of them! btw I don't use Steam client either. wallofasgard
I can confirm that some of my Visual Novel games do not work properly on Windows 10.That's why i am sticking to my trusted Windows 7.Eventually,maybe i will be forced to use Virtual Machine to run these games of mine. steven36
Lets look at this a different way.. Still 66% of steam users dont use Windows10 at all . All O/S users not just gamers 88% dont use it . So that makes it 22% more poplar with gamers than the average user . But still less than half use it considering its a free upgrade and most gamers are pretty technical users i would not consider it extremely popular . It means more gamers dont use windows 10 than do . 1. Most bench marks shows there's not much difference . 2. Many people have hardware that want upgrade to DX 12 even if it did. 3. Some people like old games that's not compatible with windows 10.
