working fine on win8.1 here. did u run as admin? note: your windows language must be English. otherwise, it' ll not work.

virus detected by Avast

why need english language?

I tested it on an XP VM English it dont have UAC like vista 7 and 8 no patches require admin rights in it . I dont think your fix works IN VM ether .

nowadays, no worries to get full IDM many way to have it, IDM License Faker worked just fine.

Still got the same error. I use the firewall method so I can't test it on real machine.

The question is why it doesn't work on VM and non-English SO?

same error here for both trial and retail IDM versions, even with admin rights ... Error: Set Owner Failed!

Tested /Not Working I set my clock up to 30th of September waited a few minutes it called out 184.173.188.107 rebooted waited a few minutes it called out 184.173.188.106 rebooted and got a fake serial.

mine is activated with the first activator edition and still even after the update ^_^

Well my test tells me sooner are latter its going call home and give me a fake serial every time . Say if I run this same test on REiS patch it will call out 184.173.188.107 but I never get a fake serial from it . If I use IP blocking it never calls out no IPs that's the safest way .

Edit: One time earlier this year I was using host blocks for months out all those months it only gave me a fake serial once by installing overtop i just registered it again and it started back working .

Tell one day in June I seen others was having trouble with it . So I uninstalled it clean . I could not register it online even though I been using so long so I used an IP sniffer and found out host blocks were letting internet trough . Not very different from this fix you may get lucky and use it for awhile but sooner or latter when triggers some checks . the checks are not really patched this time 184.173.188.107 triggered 184.173.188.106 register idm to call out and give me a fake serial .

tested updated IDM LF ver 1.5.0.0, but again not working for me ... receiving "Error: Remove Permission Failed!" error ... tried to register for WIN64, receiving the very same error also for WIN32.

did u try change time clock ahead?

Seem v2.0 is your magic number even though it calls out 184.173.188.107 each time i set my clock up i never get a fake serial like 3 times I set my clock up .By God I think you got it. I didn't check for updates when testing it so i wouldn't ;)

Good Job kien_vip seems to work as good as any other patch out. :)
