I just found a method to make IDM full working without any crack/patch/hosts/firewall and able to update online as validated license key..

- Download IDM License Faker.exe, than run it -> choose "Register IDM Now!"-> enjoy

Test working fine on x86, x64 also tested. :rolleyes: .(thank @A lemane)

I think it will continue working till Tonec dev visit this topic ^_^

note 10/2015: IDM license faker 2.0 now tested on windows 10, here is result:

WORKING: Windows xp 32bit, Windows 7 32bit, Windows 8.1 32bit, Windows 10 32bit, Windows xp 64bit , Windows 8.1 64bit.

NOT WORKING: Windows 7 64bit, Windows 10 64bit.

so dont try on not working os//.

-> on some machine if you got nag fake serial. Open registry editor and search for CLSID key with this data:

"cDTvBFquXk0eIdrOHzdfcp8G98DM5qPhs++YcVi8JRaz75hxWLwlFrPvmHFYvCUWs++YcVi8JRaz75hxWLwlFg==" (the key is different depend on other machine)

then block it with registry permission (only for advanced users

). now everything should working fine!.

You can make all the registry entries you want .. Sooner or latter 184.173.188.107 is going call home when doing checks for updates .

Really the developer doing brute force attack with 184.173.188.107 by changing ports all the time that's why so many or having complaints about using FW

I take that back for now its even passing 184.173.188.107 check in VM of xp SP3 check for updates and setting clock to 2015 still it works . Like @Blackchildcx says most likely will tell the dev finds it out and changes things around . But good work maybe you can keep updating it.

I test IDM builds 6.17 build 11 , 6.21 Build 1 , Buld 3 , build 5 and Build 7 by installing over top and it stays Registered on each build seems totally generic.

i known that u can easely decompile this tini tool with simple code ( autoit, autohotkey without any protection). but u shouldnt post source code to here,..the bots will find it more readily. moreover, respect my work.

If I were from tonec, I won't be using firewall method to fix IDM.

The word "trust" is shaky when it comes online and you, sternog, my friend, being a veteran, I hope you know this.

I asked this because I want to use it and expected that someone will tell me how it does the job done because I'm very curious regarding how it work as it's been already told that it's not a crack/patch/hosts/fw. That's all my intension.

the code is manually entries values into the registry using an automated script.. i guess as long as it works, its worth :D
