I think they are not present in the IP range provided by dcs18. If they were there, there's no way that google search can load.

I'm suffering from viral ferver and cold right now. I'll look further into this after getting well. I'm also gathering IPs that are responsible for loading ads in web pages. After completion I'll give them to dcs18 and he will do the rest.

:o I think they r included :yes:

and get well soon dear :console:

@dcs18 can u confirm whether those ip's that rudrax is talking abt r included in ur range of ip's for blocking google or not.

Once all those total IPs are rearranged numerically - it becomes clear (my 2 IPs are highlighted in red):--

74.125.0.1

74.125.230.80
74.125.230.81
74.125.230.82
74.125.230.83
74.125.230.84
74.125.230.87
74.125.230.88
74.125.230.95

74.125.255.254

I think this is the entry which is responsible for background automatic update check in IDM, just advanced the date by a year and stop automatic check for updates

@dcs18 what say u :naughty:

You are referring to the bullet - here is the trigger reproduced from post # 1:--

The Background:

Whenever IDM is running as a process, IDMGrHlp.exe nudges IDMan.exe into performing a periodic server check for the license verification (every few minutes) at remote IP 184.173.188.107. However IDMGrHlp.exe does not dial home, as is commonly believed by some.

Please note, it is pointless trying to prevent IDMGrHlp.exe, from self-executing through HIPS or any other anti-executable program/s. The file that needs to essentially be firewalled is IDMan.exe – not IDMGrHlp.exe.

BTW, here is the RegEntry that needs to be cleansed after the gunfire:--

HKCU\Software\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{07999AC3-058B-40BF-984F-69EB1E554CA7}

But only three ips can be pasted at a time and we need to edit firewall settings file to add 22 ips .

You can make many firewall rules for same program (exe) . So just make a new rule for it ? :)

We all appreciate your efforts with Bitdefender and once your illustrations are confirmed working, would love to promote them to the first and second posts (with all due credits, of course) - would have loved though, to see the screenshots illustrating IDM, in the example. Sqcr0rM.gif

Great job done, Cyberboom!!! F3h9xqz.gif
