Jime234
As I'm no longer able to afford my current fiber Broadband, I've decided to switch to a cheaper option. : ( Spoiler I'm thinking of JioFi. Or something very similar. Does anyone have expirience in this case ? Is there any good competition for JioFi from other carriers like Airtel/Tata or !dea/Vodafone or others ? (Google wont give me much on this one) I've been searching JioFi for last 2 days, and discoverd that there are multiple versoins of it like JioFi 1, JioFi 2 and so on, things got really confusing.. From my experience, !dea SIM had pretty stable connection and speed, even the worldwide pings were optimal ! (but it WAS costly) All I need is just a decent internet connection at the most resonalble price. Then, I'll also be needing a decent wifi adapter for my Desktop PC. USB vs PCI wireless adapter, which one should I be getting ?

USB vs PCI wireless adapter, which one should I be getting ? Have no idea about Jio since their service has not yet reached my locality — one of my clients had availed of their introductory offer (in 2017) and was enjoying speeds of over 400 mbps. If Jio is unavailable in your area you might want to take a look at some of the economical plans from Hathway — apart from their usual DHCP connections, they seem to also have some lower-end plans for Dial-up Users. For a Desktop, I'd personally opt for the PCI Wireless Adapter Card (they can be costly) — nothing beats a RJ45 LAN cable, though (you might want to check whether a longer CAT7 suits you better — have opted for this one.) Quote one of my clients had availed of their introductory offer (in 2017) and was enjoying speeds of over 400 mbps. Ah, I see ! Now a days (2018 ending) one can get similar speeds strictly early in the morning (like 3:30 am to 5:30 am) Can you please possibly ask your client if he/she ever bought JioFi ? and if it is a good idea to get JioFi now ? Quote Quote If Jio is unavailable in your area you might want to take a look at some of the economical plans from Hathway — apart from their usual DHCP connections, they seem to also have some lower-end plans for Dial-up Users. Spoiler Quote Quote For a Desktop, I'd personally opt for the PCI Wireless Adapter Card (they can be costly) — nothing beats a RJ45 LAN cable, though (you might want to check whether a longer CAT7 suits you better — have opted for this one.) Well Sir, I cannot get anything costly right now for obvious reasons : ( This probably is irrelevant, but I have GBE onboard and my Wifi router has all Fast Ethernet ports, so in this situation, I don't believe even a CAT6 cable would be of any help, savvy ??! Although, shielded cable and shielded jack might be helpful, but I certainly cannot afford (or do not need) that sort of LAN or Internet right now. I might just have to go for a cheap(or not so cheap) USB Wireless Adapter (with or with out antenna ? ) Currently, I'm thinking JioFi or equivalent. Like, getting a cheap Wifi hot spot separately and a SIM of my choice separately (probably Jio or !dea) with cheap/reasonable 3 months plans. If anyone could direct me to other dedicated forums for such situation, that would also be helpful 🙏 P.S. if I wasn't clear enough in my previous posts, let me make it clear that I'm in a super-duper compromising mode..
