Did anybody try?

Most of us here, are EAV Users.

You can try, for yourself though (the IPs should most probably remain the same) - it would be fun to use the ESS to block itself.

I updated the IDM registry cleaner .bat file that was provided here by iih1. I've added a few more removal instances of other IDM fake serial leftover locations. Now the following .bat file should remove ALL instances of IDM fake serial leftovers in the registry.

1) Copy all the code and paste it into a 'New Text Document'

2) Simply save it as "New Text Document.txt"

3) Rename the file "New Text Document.txt" to "IDM Cleaner.bat"

4) Run "IDM Cleaner.bat" as Administrator

The following Command Prompt window will pop up and automatically run thru the IDM registry cleaning process.

After IDM registry cleaning is complete, follow the instructions here in the 1st post and block ALL the IDM IPs via a firewall.

Once you block all IDM IPs via a firewall you can then run IDM and register with a fake serial.

Enjoy a fully activated IDM without the need to use unknown patches or modify any program or system files!

no, u dont have to disable block rule each time u update(that was just for 1 time)

infact if u disable the block rule it will reset ur activation info.

the allow rule should make it possible for u to check and update virus definitions.

by block rule, we r stopping eset from verifying our license validity.

Requirement:

1. Installed & Updated ESET Smart Security (Activated Trial or Using Any Legit Key)

HOW TO BLOCK IP's to in ESET Firewall

1. Right Click on ESET Icon.

2. Click on Advanced Setup.

3. Go To Network > Personal Firewall > Rules & Zone > Click on Setup under Zone & Rule Editor

4. Click on New

5. General Tab > Change Direction to Out

6. Local Tab > Add the Application (C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\x86\ekrn.exe)

7. Remote Tab > Add IPv4 Address [iPs to be blocked (91.228.165.81,91.228.167.125)]

8. Restart your system. After first restart you will see the following as your activation info :

Now Just check for Virus Definitions, So Your Screen Will Look Like This

9. Don't worry, just do a second restart.That's it, your product is now fully activated as illustrated below :
