Better to backup using the GUI (instead of (Ctrl + A) - I believe it takes into account the formatting, too (hence the difference in weight.)

What you mean, when u say formatting? plz elaborate/illustrate/explain.

When exporting from the GUI, you will get a backup file starting with the default name Full - when trying (Ctrl + A) you will notice that the backup file starts with the default name partial . . . . . . . . . . . . . I am guessing that not all the fields get saved by (Ctrl + A) method.

Also, you will observe that those methods use different file extensions - wpw as opposed to wfw.

Just a heads-up - Firefox 30 Beta 5 can screw your happiness. RL8WwPy.gif

Edit:--

The culprit is TMP - not Firefox.

@dcs18

how to change/adjust screen resolution when transferring my mozilla profile to another PC ?

I know it can create problem, that's why asking it before hand.

When a page is open in Firefox >>----> hold down the (Ctrl + Shift + Delete) buttons for a moment >>----> expand Details >>----> select (Everything) from the drop-down menu >>----> check/enable Site Preference >>----> Clear Now. B)

Tab Mix Plus 0.4.1.8 Final is just out - it solves all the headaches Users experienced from the latest Firefox releases.

Didn't have much of the time moderating :sneaky:

However, administrating wud be fun too, i guess. :tooth:

Nah, that's not fun - steals away all your time (I'd rather be posting away to glory.) Moderating is better than administering.

But a while back, when me & Kantry asked for ur profile, u asked our screen resolution? :s

Is the above u mentioned enuff or more work will be needed to be done on my part?

It is enough - nothing more is required to be done on your part (as far as the screen resolution is concerned.)

Anyone know how to disable this feature in Firefox?

Does turning browser.chrome.toolbar_tips (on your About:Config) from true to false help?

Nah, it doesn't help :(

It's not only @nSane but at other sites also, dunno what's the name of this feature

Acronym!

Just tried that - it's working, for me.
