just one question... are totally reliant in plugging the sending unit into a wall socket with electricity...or is there a battery back up system in the works?? it does sound interesting

Given the phone notifications external to the home seem to come from their server [internal via bluetooth] your network would be down anyway if the power was off so a battery backup isnt really a solution.

It has a one year bat, per sensor. it's super wireless ... plus the iOs plus web interface, lets you now the amount of bat on each sensor.

The hub, has a bat + AC socket...
