BUT, if for whatever reason, you were unable to access Google Play in the first place to install Hotspot Shield (for example due to censorship or IP ban in your location or restrictions in your work environment) here's how to go about it.Send an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line "android"You will shortly receive an automatic response with the latest Hotspot Shield APK and instructions how to install it on your android device.Please follow these easy steps to complete the installation.Allow installation of applications from non-Google Play sources by going to Menu, choosing “Settings and Applications,” and checking “unknown sources – allow installation of non-Market applications” (Note: the wording may vary by phone manufacturer and OS version).Install the attached APK directly from your Android email OR save the APK to your SD card and run installation by using any file browser.Hotspot Shield VPN for Android requires OS version 2.0 - 2.3.7.
