About NodGen 3.0 : I think it`s a way to get new Usernames and Passwords, in case NodLogin stops for a while, for some reason, which already happened before as you know.

i was away for some days. yesterday i read some pages but i didn't understand...i will google to find some explanation

EDIT: i googled, but i can't understand. i tried this two programs, but i can't find a difference between nodlogin and nodenable.

and wats the function of nodgen, that creates some files? i think that makes a copy of the updates so i can update another computer without internet (is this possible?), but how can i use this files?

I went back to the 3.0.621 w/the temdono 1.1 fix. My girlfriend has this version and hers updates perfectly. Mine still has to be updated manually. I don't understand what the deal is. This is starting to piss me off.

I have some knowledge about this program..

NodGen 3.0 is a program that download the updates to folder, and than you can update from that directory. The program use valid serials from ulissoft database to download the latest update files from eset_upd servers(official & retail servers),but the serials are not inserted to ESET, the program just uses the serials to download the updates.

ADVANTAGES:

• If you use this program, the update files will be kept in the folder, so even if you uninstall and reinsall ESET products and you don't have a internet connection - you can simply update from this folder.
  It's also very handy in this case:
  
• If you have a friend that has ESET NOD32 installed but he does not have an internet connection, you can help him, simply connect to the internet, run NodGen 3.0 or Generador 6.2 and it will download the update files to a folder (I will explain later on in this post how to use these programs), now you can burn this folder, copy it to you friend's computer and choose this folder as an ESET update server (I will explain this too).
  

DISADVANTAGE:

• You need to start this program every time you want to update (but actually you can make scheduler to run this program every hour or so).
  

HOW TO USE THE PROGRAM + DOWNLOAD LINKS:

1. Download NodGen v3.0 from here:
   NodGen v3.0 32bit: Uploaded to MediaFire.com. The sharecode is /?rizwvwdabze.
   NodGen v3.0 64bit: Uploaded to MediaFire.com. The sharecode is /?4vzzq6zaboh.
   
2. Copy nodgen.exe to "C" drive and run it from there. It will create the folder "update" and download the update files to that folder. Wait until it's all finished.
   
3. Now you need to update ESET. There are two ways to do so:
   
   1. 
      
   2. Download update.reg: Uploaded to MediaFire.com. The sharecode is /?aawaydhjrkg.
      Double-click update.reg file and click Yes and Ok.
      
   3. Open ESET GUI > click F5 > Update .
      Click edit on the "update server" and add the "update folder location (C:\update) and click Add and than choose this as the main Update server and click Ok.
      
      
   4. Open ESET GUI > Update and click on "Update virus signature database" to update from this folder.
      
   5. Enjoy.
      
      
      If you want to use it again just run nodgen.exe from "C" drive and update your program.
      There is also the program Generador v6.2 that does the same.

Well, I assume it would work for me, but as I said before when I asked the question about what it was, I'm not having any problems with Nodlogin, so unless something changes, I'm just going to stick with the basic NLI. But thanks to you, at least I now know what NodGen does and how to set it up if I ever need to. So if the time comes when I need it, I'll be able to refer to your post or if they put in the guides/help section that will make it easier to find again and be even better.

I'm not certain it is absolutely necessary, but it certainly can't hurt to uninstall the prior version of nodlogin before installing the new version.

To uninstall the older nodlogin, simple delete nodlogin.exe from the ESET installation folder and go into regedit or other registry editor of your choice and delete the entire UlisesSoft folder from HKey_Local_Machine\software.

Then install new version of nodlogin and enjoy.
