Nonetheless, I’ve raised the MS-DEFCON level to 2. It’s always wise to pause updates until thorough examinations are made and any bugs have been worked out. A little patience goes a long way.

NVIDIA recently had bad luck with its drivers once again. After releasing a day-one driver for Resident Evil Requiem, the company had to quickly pull the driver due to broken fan control software. A fixed version arrived shortly, only to get flagged as one, causing more issues. This time, users noticed problems with GPU voltage, which ruined overclocking for many. Now, NVIDIA has a quick hotfix, which also addresses bugs in Resident Evil Requiem and Star Citizen.

Users of NVIDIA graphics cards are experiencing a real rollercoaster with the latest drivers, as the company seems to be struggling with basic quality control. Less than a week ago, NVIDIA released a problematic driver 595.59 WHQL, then pulled it, and re-released it under version 595.71 WHQL. The driver solved the initial problem, where the GPU fans would randomly stop spinning, but it seems to have done so by severely throttling voltage and core clock speeds, resulting in performance drops of up to 16% for some users.

Anna’s Archive lost its .li domain a few hours ago, likely due to legal pressure. The shadow library's domain name was outright deleted instead of suspended. Whether the domain registrar or registry is responsible is unknown, but the latter seems more plausible. Anna's Archive was briefly down to one remaining domain name, but several new ones were swiftly added.
