Knightmare just install "compatibility reporter." And all your addons will work.

Sadly, it's not completely true. You can enable them, yes, but some (like Kaspersky's, for example) won't work AT ALL.

Thanks. The link didn't work for me, so I set up my ftp client and found the .mar update file and used that to update from 5.01. Working well here. All add-ons appear compatible so far.

Is anyone else noticing that links in the taskbar are partially grayed out now in FireFox 6.0?

For example:

http://www.nsaneforums.com/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=reply_post&f=17&t=96881

Out of that, everything is grayed out but .nsaneforums.com.

Kind of driving me crazy, any idea how to change it?

Looks like this is actually a feature... to help people notice phishing attacks.

java console 6 and 7.0 is not compatible to the new final version of firefox.

Thanks.

The Java console found in Firefox's extension as not compatible is meaningless.

If you go to Firefox plugins, you will see that Java is working.

To remove Java console in Firefox, delete “{CAFEEFAC-0017-0000-0000-ABCDEFFEDCBA}” folder located in “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions” folder.

......And if you happen to reinstall or update Java in the future, the Java console will show up there again. :guns:

I need a little clarification on this one.

I also think there needs to be a bit more explanation when

offering FF browser versions.

I followed the home link given on front page.

Everything leads me to the ff 5.xx set up file.

I also have my FF set up to auto update. So far it has not.

My question is, how can you show FireFox 6 "Final" when it is still beta on it's OWN home page.

Can someone link to me the Mozilla page that shows FF6 "Final" release?

These are early days, so you won't find Firefox 6.0 final on their website for at least a week.

You can choose to wait till then for update or better still, wait for their autoupdate on your Firefox 5.0.1

The early birds will update now without waiting.

This was also the same when Firefox 5.0 was released.

Here:

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/6.0/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%206.0.exe

As you can see its in Firefox Release folder. That means its final stabile build.

Ty nanana1 for the response.

However, I did some further reading and I now know what the confusion is...

From the FF site: v.6.0, offered to beta channel users on July 8th, 2011

I think in the future it would be helpful to add a "Beta channel" note on the front page offering.

This multiple channel thing, along with the frequency that FF has chosen to change versions

is going to get confusing real quick.

I guess I am a "release channel" user, and therefore will not see beta updates.
