hpwamr
Kaspersky 2012 Trial Reset + NagBox Removal (REG + BAT) Postby Saduff » Mon Jun 20, 2011 9:02 pm All credits go to Ganjin for his great trial reset app. I couldn't have done it without it. The scripts are extracted from the app and a bit modified by me. Excellent work Siddharta. :sneaky:
Siddharta
Thanks Prius for your kind words, but I haven't done much. Just keeping in touch with friends and acquaintances trying to help each other. Let me remind you once again this thread does not belong to me. I am merely leading or moderating it a bit. You can make your contributions in a serious manner, mentioning the authors - not necessarily the webs from where you got something, providing virus reports, testing, etc. This thread belongs to all of us and it is open, you can continue with the idea if I am not here. I am afraid Saduff has been unable on this opportunity to contribute with something altogether different as he did last year. There is a contribution is the tool, which is different, but he sends his respects to Ganjin, who has done an outstanding job. Now I mention this for several reasons, it is important to have more than one trial resetter from reliable sources. We don't need a dozen, just enough as to be on the safe side. Kaspersky may block one or two, but they won't be able to neutralize them all.

Anyways, if I may suggest, wouldn't it be wise to have KIS trial resets in password protected archives so as to make it difficult for KIS to neutralize them? AFAIK, no antivirus can scan inside password protected archives.
Siddharta
no antivirus can scan inside password protected archives It is much better to let your antivirus scan everything. Password protected files can also hide dangerous trojans. Clever antivirus programs always warn you about protected files and their possible dangers!!!! -_-

Clever antivirus programs always warn you about protected files and their possible dangers!!!! -_-thats true but sometimes you have to hide something deliberately from the antivirus (like the antivirus' own trial reset), its better to have it in a password protected archive. as for a password protected archive from an unknown source, it's always best to extract it in a virtual machine (preferably one with an antivirus installed) ;)

akf
Sorry if I have said anything wrong. I previously used some form of KIS Anti blacklist patch that will modify the internal files of KIS. At first, it worked well. Eventually, once KIS detected the patch, KIS was deactivated and cannot be used anymore (no protection anymore). This is main reason that I still choose to activate via key file. Although the keys are frequently blacklisted, at least it does not modify the internal KIS files, thus eliminating the risk of KIS stop functioning.1. My question is that do all activation medicines mentioned here, aka trial reset, modify the internal files of KIS? For the worst case scenerio when Kaspersky detected the presence of the trial reset, wouldn't Kaspersky deactivate KIS 2012, rendering it unable to provide any protection at all?2. The suggested websites which contain key files does not have or rarely have the key files for KIS 2012.Based on these 2 reasons, I choose not to install KIS 2012, at least until the key files for KIS 2012 are more easily obtained. Did I said anything wrong? I am still using KIS 2010.Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the advice. Your first question yes time to time Kaspersky update patches to order to deactivate trial resetter. Second question you don't need 2012 kaspersky key to activate it. Almost all keys adjustable for Kaspersky 2012. You can instal 2012 and with activate with 2010 or 2011 keys.

hpwamr
thats true but sometimes you have to hide something deliberately from the antivirus (like the antivirus' own trial reset), its better to have it in a password protected archive.Well I protect by myself all my keygens against the scanning of the antivirus. :o The best and easy way I've found to hide a file completely is archive it with WinRar: ==> Select the files or folder, in WinRar goto > Add to Archive -> go in Advanced -> Set Password -> Very Important is select : "Encrypt File Name", and asual push on Ok..... Because WinZip can't "Encrypt File Name", I don't use it anymore to protect my keygens.

madeinheaven
How To Turn Off Kaspersky Trial Notification Sign [KIS 2012 Skins]As soon as you change the skin Kaspersky trial notification will disappear forever. To use alternative skin disable self defence, open the default ..skin\layout\settings.ini section [OptionsWindow_Navigator_WorkArea_Gui_Body] and change string Skin = [OptionsWindow_Navigator_WorkArea_Gui_Body_Skin] use(0) to Skin = [OptionsWindow_Navigator_WorkArea_Gui_Body_Skin] use(!env("SkinSwitchDisabled") || env("SkinSwitchDisabled") == "0") Save file, press Shift+F12 (Shift+F5 for Ru) to reload interface (or restart KIS at all). Save alternative skin anywhere (don't use default KIS "skin" folder) Set alt.skin through Settings. Enable self defence.
