Doritos
So, what is the best operating system ? ;)
Anteus
I would say Vista because I've been using it for a while now, and I haven't had any problem's with drivers (except upgrading the DVD burner had to get a XP for that) and its so nice looking (I tweaked it ALOT, a reason why i don't want to change to Linux). Doritos
I voted at Windows XP, because it still the best version of Windows (stable, quite fast, lot of support) and i also voted at Linux, because you can tweak it to the limit, free, free programs, fast, virusfree, etc ;)

(my friend showed me a Linux that is designed to be the same as windows, drivers etc (its not free)(don't remeber the name but if your intrested google could help you)In my experience XP is not stable and still there's bugs in it, ie: my bro get some temp file when he tries to watch a movie and he hasn't got any help. some newer games (maybe) soon only works with vista, I've already seen one, but I don't remeber what it was called... kiddo
its not about the best, but rather what works for you and suits your needs. It would all depend on the type of user, thats about it.

Donaldo
I prefer Windows XP Pro due to:-1) User-friendliness3) Widest compatibility & popularity (any software/fix will always be made with XP in mind)4) Suitability (doesn't require any minimum level of computer configuration)5) Reasonable speedThat said, I've tried out all the others except Linux. Noddy
Absolutely, look forward to something light, brisk & compatible like XP with looks along the lines of Vista (minus UAC.) Initial beta results of Windows 7 do seem encouraging.

Administrator DKT27 Posted October 29, 2010 Administrator Share Posted October 29, 2010 Windows 7. Undoubtedly. Some think that Windows 7 is like Vista. But no it isn't. It's the best thing M$ has ever made. It's like beauty + brains. And guess what, you can also run it on a 1GB Ram computer running an Atom processor. *dcs18
Windows Se7en = (Speed of XP + aesthetics of Vista)It's Windows Se7en that has really ushered in compatibility with (x64 bits) Last week, I installed the Ultimate flavor on a 512 MB RAM - BTW, I'm myself running Windows Se7en satisfactorily on a 1 GB RAM right through beta days.(I suppose most members have yet to vote on this poll.)
