Now also appears some messages asking if my programs are allowed to contact with websites. Those looking for updates I guess...but from outside to my computer didn`t receive messages yet.If you set HIPS and Firewall to --» Interactive Mode , then be prepared for dozens of those messages ( allow / deny ?) Better protection and lighter. ESS is giving me Virus signature databases regularly . License until 11th.Aug.2011For now, seems all right . Probably the simplest way I can put it. ESET guys say that apparently v4 had it, but it wasn't "on the surface" (along those lines). I guess they made it come to the service in v5 though! Then when I restarted PC, everytime I try and hit f5 or try and open advance window, the first time I do it a message pops saying unsupported action by egui, and after that eset main window is unresponsive... Do I have to disable patching of trial watermarks or something?When I installed the fix, my options to enable self-defense immediately after using the fix and to remove the trial watermarks were grayed out (I was unable to check them). Had those options been available, I would have unchecked them anyway. Again, just like with ESET 4, one needs to disable self-defense in ESET 5 before running the fix. If I were you, I would uninstall the fix, uninstall ESET 5, restart, reinstall ESET 5, disable self-defense, restart, install the fix with the two boxes unchecked, and run a manual update. I have had no issues entering the advanced options. Good luck. If egui v5 is different then 4.2 then patching the file will cause problems. So yes disable the trialmarks. Self-defense is now part of the new HIPS th, TR fixes works just fine, I disabled HIPS & SD , changed PackageTag value, added eval servers, and denied permission to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Info. a new watermark is needed for v5, I have already manage to do it partially. but will wait for final or for you updating your fix. there are new servers for v5 upd: http://um10.eset.com/eset_upd/v5/ http://update.eset.com/eset_upd/v5/ works fine with the built in trial license. also for all don't use pre-release updates because it will download v4 modules..
