Yes box uses AutoIt! And as far as I know, most of his fixes are made in AutoIt. ;)

@Night: I'm wishing to see ESET Fix.exe being password protected by mara-, that auto unlocks itself when executed.

Oh, I know what you mean now. I once downloaded a program from Chattchitto at the Pirate Bay. His keygen played music and WinRAR could see files within the kegen's EXE file. At least one of those files was password protected so I asked Chattcitto about it. He responded within minutes  and told me that even he doesn't know the password. His keygen worked great!

Yes, box has said here before that most of his fixes are made with AutoIt.

Yea Chattchitto is quite famuos for his works. Just wish to see mara- implement what I've suggested. If it's possible.

- anyone got a problem with the "Trial Water Mark remove" ? my EGUI was all messed up with Kenal.exe error, missing content such ass no virus signature version and i couldn't update, scan or anything it's like NOD32 got pwned by a virus.

- after restart it was all fixed. i was wondering if this is a rare bug from using the "Trial Water Mark remove"

thanks

p.s don't have a screen shot because i haven't got that problem after restart

I didn't test the Trial Water Mark remove with latest version of ESET. IT should work fine on 32-bit, but 64-bit could be the problem. On which version of ESET did you try?

@DKT

I don't think it's possible to lock. I would sure do it if it's possible. AutoIt developers says that they want to spend more time on developing new features then on improving protection of code, which is strange to me.

Cheers ;)

Hmm. That's what I thought. :(

BTW I'm planning to learn AutoIt! BBs recommended AutoIt's help file that comes with it. Can you link me to some AutoIt only tuts?

The Trial Water Mark remove worked fine for me on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

AutoIt help is fantastic. In my opinion you don't need anything else. But if you need something, you can browse their forums, or ask in the new topic. There are a lot of people ready to help. You can ask me, too, if you stuck with something.

If you have used the fix, but you uninstall NOD32. And later you install NOD32 again, then the fix must be used again if you want that the fix works again...?

And what if you have used the fix, but didn't selected remove trialmarks, and you want it to be removed, can you just use the fix again while you already have used the fix...?

To install the new version of ESET if you are using box, mara- fix.

Unfix box, mara- fix. Uninstall ESET (recommended by ESET guys for successful upgrade, you wont lose and settings/data). Install the new version of ESET. Fix it again.

Yea. Will keep it 31 days forever! You will get signature updates forever unless noted. ;)

Trial Water Mark is that Remaining trial period: 31 days ...?

If you have used the fix without removing that, but you want it to be removed...

Can I just use the fix again...?

Or must I first uninstall NOD32 and then all over again...?

Yes trial watermark means that 31 days remaining thingy.

To remove that you have to unfix and then re-fix it. But I can be wrong as I've never carried out this method before.

If it's working fine the way it is, why to worry removing the watermark? ;)

You only need to do that if you want to install Eset newer version.

If you stay with your version, then there is no need to do that.

If you are too lazy to do that, then don't upgrade to the new version.

@mara-: I don't know if it's even possible but you can make AVs not flag box, mara- fix when it's not executed by putting some password lock in it, that automatically unlocks itself when you execute it. This will wont allow AVs to scan inside the fix unless when executed. I've actually seen many fixes doing this.

Easiest way would be protecting the compiled .exe with armadillo/asprotect/execryptor/molebox to minimize all false positives.

I posted an example elsewhere in this forum.

Protected box-mara-fix with Armadillo, and virus total reported ONLY 2 false positives, others found nothing. Even not ESET. ;)

edit:

Here's another example. I protected box&mara-fix with MOLEBOX...

Results on VirusTotal.com:

Only two false positives,by Antivir and AVG..

Avira AntiVir could even mark Windows files as malware (no argument there though, but still :P). :frusty:

If anyone gets prompt for a username and password using any trial fix, just type eset for both.

Well I did what it says in mara-'s signature, but it didn't work. I used eset for both, and then I tried ESET for both. No luck. I'm using ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2.58.3 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

This started happening about 24 hours ago. I've never seen this before. How do I fix this problem?

EDIT: Oh, I tried a reboot too, but the problem persists.

As I recall, it's a problem from ESET's side. Try reinstalling the fix and if the problem remains try reinstalling ESET.

Thanks DKT27. Disabling ESET's self-defense, rebooting, unfixing, fixing again, enabling self-defense and rebooting again got everything working again. :D

Strange that it happened in the first place though because my remaining trial period is always 31 days.
