The future of Discord music bots

I'm not sure if this is the correct topic. if no, plz move this to the appropriate one.

 

I'm going to talk about music bots on Discord platform. As you all know, every bot on Discord with a music functionality had problems, if they used YouTube as a source. Those bots were taken down, but lately YouTube sent C&D letter even to those bot devs, who didn't use YouTube as a source. As a result, the music bots on Discord itself are in grave danger!

 

Lately all you can find on Discord as music bots are those using Spotify, Deezer or something else as a source. That in itself makes the playback not always fluent, unreliable, and I find YouTube as a music source w/o any alternative.

 

A couple of weeks ago I found this video. It says clearly that it is against Discord ToS, however hey, I was pissed not having music bot with YouTube functionality, so I did it the way it is done on the video. Strangely enough the video hasn't been taken down, nor there are complaints from Discord on the video itself.

 

 

So here I am, selfhosting a music bot with YouTube functionality, on 1 server only. I'm asking myself if the bot is discovered when Discord makes new Discord usernames and when will it be.
