Which antivirus to use?

Windows Defender, nothing else. Oh almost forgot, the use of your brain also.

Been using it since 2018 or 2019

Any other antiviruses are viruses themselves, they use your PC resources more than Defender itself.

Jokes apart, @Bl4ckCyb3rEnigm4 @mp68terr @wolfie @IBNHAGAR @Radpop @Israeli_Eagle while the new windows (10 onwards) defender suite is sufficient - especially with a regular check on entries, blocks and temporary files including registry ones - I recommend anyone wanting to use an anti-virus to opt-in for Trend Micro's endpoint security.

Trend Micro is arguably the best company out there with a cloud-based definitions engine, one of the first in the industry, and a security team that is rooting out and exploring threat assessments of all types and levels.

PS: This is an unpaid endorsement 😛 @Mach1

Kaspersky all the way. It is consistently top rated at av-comparatives for several years. Don't see how software should be affected by geopolitics.

-In terms of Protection: Bitdefender & Kaspersky.

-In terms of Performance (i.e. Low System Impact): ESET.

*Freeware*

Windows Defender (especially on Windows 11/10).
