HX1
our frend D shud reveal that.wheres D???:fear:@ Ravi & @ implagueYou'll need all the protection and 2.7 is pretty much useless for you guys. :secret: I'd suggest you try NOD32 EAV Antivirus 4.0.474 (not ESS) Go for the Business Edition in case you happen to be networked on a domain deployed by a server adminstered by ESET.I'm suggesting NOD32 simply due to the huge support system (nSane support not ESET) :pirate: and you'll only enhance your learning & experience. Finally, whatever antivirus program you decide to run, it's not a bad idea to add the following entries to your exclusions:-%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Datastore%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Datastore\Logs\Res*.log%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Datastore\Logs\Res*.jrs%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Datastore\Logs\Edb.chk%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Datastore\Logs\Tmp.edb%windir%\Security\Database\*.edb%windir%\Security\Database\*.sdb%windir%\Security\Database\*.log%windir%\Security\Database\*.chk%windir%\Security\Database\*.jrs%allusersprofile%\NTUser.pol %Systemroot%\System32\GroupPolicy\Registry.pol If you plan to use NodLogin (exclusion):- C:\Program Files\UlisesSoft If you plan to use NodEnabler (exclusion):- C:\Program Files\ESET ps:- Some of the above directories may not be present in your system. I use these exclusions for my antiSpyware and antMalware programs, too.:cheers:What about on an XP system using this one 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\Logs\'*' ' This logs WMI events and contains several files which are constantly accessed. Should this be left to be scanned? Or would be advisable to exclude it on an XP machine? I have it in mine.. but I don't want it there if it would be inadvisable for sake of speed.. Alcala
Basing it off that list, PrevX 3.0 is doing a fine job. Currently looking for a new AV to test out, I'll test out EAV first..... :s

marshall39
KAV performs really great in my opinion...I've heard Norton is now really good,I've tried it,but don't why I can't trust it and removed it after a couple of days, even if it ran smoothly
chlorophyll
KAV performs really great in my opinion...in my OPINION , KIS is 1000000% times better than KAV. :D
Sl@pSh0ck™
in my OPINION , KIS is 1000000% times better than KAV. :DKIS and KAV uses the same engine, the only difference is that KIS has a built in firewall(and other extras). But I'm sure others would agree that a layered protection is way off better than any security suite.

marshall39
KAV with Outpost firewall is a good choice too(and Outpost serial is available here too :sneaky: ) I use that and Key Scrambler to screw the keyloggers. In my opinion those protections togheter ar better than one security suite. But maybe I'm wrong don't know :D
