I didn't use your method - "IDM activator v.1.8 by Actver", but I wrote about the problem with COMCTL32.dll here:

Because my activator didnt find the right folder name to create it

I used the patch "IDM 6 xx V21 Patch by The Hidden 2000 / AT4RE" build 17/04/2020 in Win 10 LTSC 2019 x64 so far working perfect ...

Use @Ali.Dbg old patch (v16.9) and my reg file. Until now it's no longer show "Register" message box.

Waiting for new fix version.

I'm not sure if it's a system problem, but this problem occurs after you install "Internet download manager v.6.37 build 10 final retail" and install a patch (Ali.Dbg or The Hidden 2000 or yaschir). And in a minute or 2 this system message for COMCTL32.dll appears.

 

Of all the writers, apparently only I have this problem. And only for me browser integration did not work.

I found the folder, x86_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.17763.316_none_4d6272b91b9b6fbc, copied to folder IDMan.exe.Local, not working

IDM 6 xx V21 Patch by The Hidden 2000 / AT4RE

The Hidden 2000 has chosen to update his patch several times without changing the version number.
The only thing he chose to change was the date. Which is a bit strange..  

There can be big misunderstandings among those in this thread and throughout WWW
Everything is spreading crazy fast around various forums. Nothing wrong with that.. but..
