steven36
Calendar and Mail UWP apps in Windows 10 version 1909 have recently received their new icons, now the new updates available for Movies & TV and Calculator apps enable the modern look. Back in December 2019, Microsoft announced it has redesigned over 100 Windows product icons with new colors. Some of them already made into Windows 10 insiders machines for certain apps, a few days back, Microsoft has pushed redesigned icons for Calendar and Mail Apps to Windows 10 regular users, now new updates are available for Calulculator and Movies & TV as well in Microsoft Store. After installing the updates, you’ll spot the new icons for them m in the start menu, on Windows 10 taskbar, and during their launch. It’s worth noting that Microsoft Edge based on the Chromium icon also is one among the Windows product icons that got change. Its interesting Microsoft Edge icon is the same across platforms such as Windows, Mac, and Android while that’s not the case for Mail and Calendar apps on Windows and Android as they have different icons. As of time of this writing, I don't see that icons are updated yet, still on old icons. Probably update will be released later.

steven36
It is a few months since Microsoft first unveiled the new look icons for Windows 10 and various applications. Now, having started the roll out of the new icons to Windows Insiders, the company is giving everyone access to the new designs. At the moment, it seems to be people running Windows 10 version 1909 that are affected, and this means they can enjoy new icons for Mail, Calendar, Calculator, Photos and more apps. Back in December, Microsoft explained the aesthetic changes it was going to be making, saying: "With the newest wave of icon redesigns, we faced two major creative challenges. We needed to signal innovation and change while maintaining familiarity for customers. We also had to develop a flexible and open design system to span a range of contexts while still being true to Microsoft". Initially it was only those involved in the Insider program that had access to the new icons but, as noted by Techdows -- and confirmed by BetaNews – the new look is now being delivered to non-Insiders. While updates to the Calendar and Mail apps seem to have been pushed out automatically to everyone, in order to see the new icons for the Calculator and Movies & TV apps, you'll need to update the apps via the Microsoft Store. zanderthunder
As the time of this writing, Movies & TV app and Windows Alarms & Clock now receives new modern icons and new app version. Have that updated in my Win 10 v1909 x64 just now. And with the release of the new version, somehow it hints that these modern icons will make a debut on upcoming 20H1 update. cc. @Karlston
