Confirmed – the next major version of Windows 10 to be code-named Vibranium

All the way back in October 2018 we heard that the next major version of Windows 10 would be code-named Vibranium, with the more minor Windows 10 19H2 update being code-named Vanadium.

Now the Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 18950 has confirmed the news, with reference (discovered by Tero Alhonen) to Windows 10 VB.

In case you mistake this for Windows 10 Visual Basic edition, the SDK also provides more verbose confirmation in the USB driver.

We of course already know quite a bit about Windows 10 20H1 code-named Vibranium, as this is the OS currently in the Windows 10 Insider Fast Ring. From a recently leaked build however, we also know that Microsoft is working on a new Start Menu and other significant changes for the operating system, meaning we may see some meaningful changes hit consumers next year.

I thought using code names were means to keep the identity of a project concealed. How does it apply to this one here?
