The AchieVer
Microsoft Confirms New Bug in Windows 10 Cumulative Updates KB4493509, KB4493464 Microsoft has just confirmed a new issue in several of the cumulative updates it shipped to Windows 10 devices as part of the April 2019 Patch Tuesday this week. While this bug is unlikely to hit consumers, but business users and enterprises, Microsoft says it has already started the work on a fix, and it should roll it out in a future update. The company explains the following: “Certain operations, such as rename, that you perform on files or folders that are on a Cluster Shared Volume (CSV) may fail with the error, “STATUS_BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (0xC00000A5)”. This occurs when you perform the operation on a CSV owner node from a process that doesn’t have administrator privilege.” While a fix is being developed as we speak, there are two workarounds available right now. The software giant recommends users to perform the operation from a process that has already received administrator permissions or launch it from a node without CSV ownership.Affected cumulative updatesAt the time of writing this article, this bug is confirmed in the following cumulative updates for Windows 10 (all released on April 9): KB4493509 (OS Build 17763.437) – Windows 10 version 1809 KB4493464 (OS Build 17134.706) – Windows 10 version 1803 KB4493441 (OS Build 16299.1087) – Windows 10 version 1709 KB4493474 (OS Build 15063.1747) – Windows 10 version 1703 KB4493470 (OS Build 14393.2906) – Windows 10 version 1607 KB4493475 (OS Build 10240.18186) – Windows 10 RTM (original version) To check the version number on your device, click the Start menu and type winver. If the build number matches the ones mentioned above, you’re running the latest Windows 10 version and the available cumulative update has already been installed. Microsoft hasn’t offered a target release date for the fix, and the next Patch Tuesday rollout is due to kick off on May 14. Source
shorty6100
That's why it is a preview and not RTM. Perhaps Microsoft is learning from their mistakes. Baby steps.
