Until we get open-sourced firmware and software to our phones, things won't change. Most people don't even give a shit about their privacy: "They can spy on me, I have nothing to hide" or "They don't spy on me, they have other things to worry about" or "It's nesscesary for them to collect that data to provide quality services". And the list goes on and on. I try to unassociate my data to myself as much as I can, use encrypted channels and software for messaging. Use open-sourced secure keyboard. Does it work? Another story. One at least has to try.
