Myna
ProtonVPN is the brainchild of the highly acclaimed privacy focused email provider ProtonMail. They have been in the forefront of the fight for online privacy and promises to hold on to their core values even with their VPN service. They are headquartered in Switzerland which has some of the world's strongest privacy laws. Switzerland is also outside of EU and US jurisdiction and is not a member of the fourteen eyes surveillance network. Under Swiss law, they are not obligated to save any user connection logs, nor can we be forced to perform targeted logging on specific users. On their website, ProtonVPN claims that they launched this VPN service keeping security as their main focus and that their target audience is not just the regular folks but also the journalists and activists. Their goal is to make online privacy accessible to all. Unlike many other VPN providers, they also have published a transperancy report up and updated which can be forund at https://protonvpn.com/blog/transparency-report/ Let's look at their features in brief: Switzerland based. No logging and sharing data with third parties. Has 112 Servers in 14 Countries. Traffic is encrypted with AES-256, key exchange is done with 2048-bit RSA Supports OpenVPN Forward Secrecy: ProtonVPN have carefully selected their encryption cipher suites to only include ones that have Perfect Forward Secrecy. This means that your encrypted traffic cannot be captured and decrypted later if the encryption key from a subsequent session gets compromised. With each connection, they generate a new encryption key, so a key is never used for more than one session. Support P2P DNS Leak Prevention Kill Switch Comes with built-in Tor support Unlimited Bandwidth 10gbit servers Secure Core Servers: Provides additional protection against VPN server compromise by routing connections through our Secure Core network. Upto 10 devices Supports PC, MacOS, mobile, and even your router. Homepage: https://protonvpn.com As you might have already figured out by the post title, I've a few ProtonVPN Plus licenses that I'm here to give away. These licenses are officially sponsored by ProtonVPN, exclusively for the users of NsaneForums. Thank you ProtonVPN Team. No. of licenses: 8 Type: ProtonVPN Plus Validity: 1 Year Cost: $96/license Rules of the giveaway: Comment below on why you want a license. Like/Follow ProtonVPN and Nsane of Facebook/Twitter (Optional) ProtonVPN: Facebook/Twitter Nsane: Facebook/Twitter 3. Share this giveaway post publicly on your preferred social media and post the link to it in your comment. (Optional) 4. Participants have to register for a free account to enter this giveaway. ProtonVPN will verify if the account was created during the time of participation or after the announcement of the winners. 5. Participants need to have a post count of at least 10 before the end of this giveaway. 6. Refrain from using VPNs to enter this contest. And also from entering through multiple accounts. If caught, you'll be disqualified. (Users with more than 100 post counts are exempt from the "no VPN use" rule) 7. Admins/Mods reserves the right to block/ban anyone from participating in this contest. Since, quite a few may not have a Facebook/Twitter account, I kept the social media stuff as optional. The contest will end after 7 days of this post going live. Winners will be chosen via random.org and are expected to claim the license by sending me a direct message within 7 days from the announcement of the winners or else the license will be given away to whoever is next in line. I'd also like to add that ProtonVPN also has a free plan. You can register a free account and have access to all the feature of ProtonVPN absolutely free for 7 days. At the end of the 7 days, if you plan not to buy a license, you'll be moved to the free plan which gives access to unlimited bandwidth on predefined servers from 3 countries. Sign Up here: https://account.protonvpn.com/signup Looks like some nsane users are worried about their privacy as the username of the winners will be shared with ProtonVPN. So here's a little detail you might want to know. Usernames are asked just so ProtonVPN can confirm that you've created the account prior or during the duration of the giveaway and not after the announcement of the winners. Those accounts won't be upgraded to ProtonVPN Plus. Instead winners will be handed out a 1 Year license each. And you can use that license code to upgrade any ProtonVPN free account to Plus. If you're worried about your privacy, just create a new account and use the license code to upgrade that account. A single code can be used on only 1 account. So don't worry, no one's getting a shared account. And I already have the license codes. I'll be the one handing out those licenses and not ProtonVPN. They'll never know which license code is given to whom. If there's anything else someone wants to know, then just ask here. I'll be more than happy to answer your questions. Enjoy! Hi guys.... I missed an important rule while posting the giveaway. It's rule no.4 Quote Participants have to register for a free account to enter this giveaway. ProtonVPN will verify if the account was created during the time of participation or after the announcement of the winners. This rule is a mandatory one and so I request you guys to register a free account. It's free afterall and will only take a few minutes. Don't post the usernames here. If you win, I'll ask you guys your ProtonVPN usernames.

I'm sorry, I just couldn't believe it at first sight (and laughed). Not that we don't deserve it...and need it..., but: I thought it's funny nevertheless. Their user-base is already enormous; -one thing. I don't need a Plus license, and I do/have to use ProtonVPN very often. On Linux too (their CLI client is trustworthy, nice). ...But, hm, thank you really: - for this, ah, intriguing post !
