Smoore Posted June 1, 2017 Share Posted June 1, 2017 IDM 6.28 Activator v1.2 by MaRk15 is confirmed working only on a clean install. I had used reis 11 & 12 patch prior & thought I could delete the idm.exe & rename the idm.exe.bak, then use MaRk15, NOT! Uninstalled with TotalUninstall on advanced scan setting, reboot, finish cleaning, fresh install, closed all IDM in task manager, ran MaRk15 via the patch, registered to my name via register button, tested on 2 downloads, SUCCESS! phrunt Posted June 1, 2017 Share Posted June 1, 2017 i've tried just about every patch and every combination I can think of, cleaning everything out with revo, fresh installs the lot and nothing has stopped the bad serial warning, sometimes I can get away with a few downloads before it comes, but it always comes. Perhaps you can regress back to Internet Download Manager 6.28 Build 9 or 10 Seemed patches worked perfectly for that version.. new version has a hidden time bomb not addressed by the old cracks (probably a new call home algo) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

JiMCAILLOU Posted June 2, 2017 Share Posted June 2, 2017 OK, not to be original, I also get the fake serial number, with my freshly installed b11 IDM, that I installed cause I still hope integration in FF will at end finally work as it did till b8 version, as it does in chrome, a simple link for download just upon the video, and not anywhere upside in the page... Anyway, fake number also for me, as it had happened massively quite a while ago (1 year approx. ?) so after reading this topic, I decided to use romark patch. As explained in these pages, I installed revo (from here), rebooted in safe mode, used advanced uninstaller, rebooted, even ran IDMCleaner.bat (downloaded from here); exit MBAM & Avast, installed IDM6.28b11 as administrator, closed anything, including the 3 processes (idman, iemonitor & idm integration module), pasted the patch in IDM program file, ran it as administrator. And then, successfull message, but NO WAY of launching IDM, nothing happens, not even see it appearing / flashing in my process explorer. Then I did it again, all the same steps, from safe mode with revo to patch, and the same result. So what ? I uninstalled anything again, and had the idea of downloading retail version. The patch didn't recognize the version, (a blank field instead of 6.28b11), but informed me successfull patch.. I have to mention that I also did 2 things in a different way : I filled the field with my name and checked the "automatically launch box before patching, And then, closed IDM again, not killing all processes, and regestered with my informations, and everything is still good. Hope these details may help, as I read I don't remeber exactly where in this topic that this already happened.(no launch). Anyway, it works now, that's what matters, and so BIG THX to you romark & XenoCoder By the way, I would like to thanks all contributors here, I've read this topic (and others) from the beginning, it is very constructive. I'm not new in reading nsane forums, it's quite a long time now, but I never registered cause I'm not a cracker, and wondered how I could contribute / how I could help here.
