The Windows 10 Creators Update is expected to go mainstream in April 2017 (possibly on the 18th April), but Insider Builds have already revealed a lot about this major OS update. There are a lot of features that have been removed, having been a part in previous versions, or have been deprecated (meant to be removed in further updates). Feature-wise, this update is big and has a lot of edits. Microsoft has listed the features it has removed or deprecated in this update. Let’s take a look at them.

Features removed in Windows 10 Creators Update

1. Flash autorun in Edge

The Flash autorun feature in Microsoft Edge browser has been disabled with the latest update. It will now be accessible from the Click-to-Run (C2R) option instead, which can be later changed by the user.

2. Interactive Service Detection Service

Interactive Services Detection is a mitigation for legacy applications that detects if a service is trying to interact with the desktop. It is displayed by a blinking message on the taskbar. This is handled by the Interactive Services Detection (UI0Detect) service.

3. Microsoft Paint removed from languages that are not a part of the localisation list

With the Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft Paint will not support languages that are not already part of the company’s localisation list. Some of the major languages in this localisation list include Arabic, English, Chinese, French, German and a few more. Additional languages will be available as Language Interface Packs.

4. NPN support in TLS (superseded by ALPN)

ALPN or Application Protocol Level Navigation will be the default medium for TLS support. This technology will supersede the previously used NPN.

5. Windows Information Protection “AllowUserDecryption” policy

The new update has disabled the Windows Information Protection “AllowUserDecryption” policy with immediate effect in its latest version.

6. WSUS for Windows Mobile

All Windows Server Update Services for Windows Mobile have been disabled. Instead, all the updates for Windows Mobile will be successfully transitioned to the new Unified Update Platform (UUP).

Features deprecated in Windows 10 Creators Update

1. Reading List

Windows Reading List is a native app that lets you add bookmarks from apps or the web to keep track of things you want to get back to later. This app is expected to be slowly removed from the Windows 10 updates in the future.

2. Tile Data Layer

The Tile Data Layer/Tile Database in Windows 10 is part of the list of features being deprecated with the future updates.

3. TCP Chimney

TCP Chimney or TCP Offloading is the feature designed to take the processing of the network such as packet segmentation and reassembly processing tasks, from a computer’s CPU to a network adapter that supports TCP Chimney Offload. It is being withdrawn from Windows 10 due to issues with the software.

4. IPSec Task offload

IPsec task offload is a technology built into the Windows operating system that supports network adapters equipped with hardware that reduces the CPU load by performing this computationally intensive work.

5. Apndatabase.xml

Apndatabase.xmlis being replaced by the COSA database.

6. Apps Corner

Apps Corner will soon be discontinued,

7. TLS DHE_DSS

TLS DHE_DSS ciphers will be disabled by default.

You can see the full details at Microsoft.

Thanks button don't work for me again

Yep, really annoying, bugger all Likes being left now. Broken in the last forum software update ages ago, thought it would surely be fixed by now.

Workaround is to right-click on the Like/Thanks button and select something like "Open in New Tab", "Open in Background Tab"... etc.

I think the thanks button not working might be due to ublock origin. I remember hitting the button on edge to test it and it worked.

It never breaks nothing some of the filters it uses  have broke things though but never at this site .. Most of the problems here started when they got partial https  just blacklist it from using https  any site that have http mixed  with https is unsecured  anyway i have  it  blocked . I block active mixed content and I have Displayed  mixed content blocked as well because it makes  my URL Security addon turn yellow.

I'll try some of the above suggestions. I thought it was an issue on my end-it appears I'm not the only one.
