The experiment has currently 138,675 participants and Mozilla declares Universal Search, which has passed the first phase as successful as it received good feedback from the users: ‘search results were relevant and helped search faster’. The experiment to retire with honors, the test Pilot team will disable the add-on on the aforementioned date. For the experiment to graduate and become a feature in Firefox release channel, it needs to go through another two phases – Design and Build, and Launch and Learn. Article source If you’re testing the experimental feature and part of Fx Test Pilot program, know this: After uninstalling or disabling Universal Search add-on, the search bar in Firefox browser won’t be restored automatically, you need to manually add it by visiting the customize menu, here is how that can be done. Restoring Search bar in Firefox after removing Universal Search First, to remove Universal Search, Click On Firefox Menu, select Add-ons > Extensions Click Remove for Universal Search To restore Search bar after that 1. Click on Firefox menu, click on customize 2. Drag and drop Search bar on the navigation toolbar where it used to appear before or click on ‘Restore defaults‘ and click ‘Exit Customize‘.
