Finally – custom accent colors are coming to Windows 10

Windows 10 is known for having a limited amount of predefined colors in the Settings app. Unlike Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 where you could choose your own color from a mixer, Windows 10 does not allow this as of Anniversary Update. Many users complained about this, because it was hard to add a custom accent color without using a third party app or a hack. A recent change seen in the Settings app shown during the October 2016 Microsoft event shows the ability to use any desired color as your accent color.

This feature was one of the most requested options for Windows 10. In Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft is going to restore a color picker in Personalization - Colors. It looks as follows:

It comes with a number of advanced options and with a live preview for the color you are going to apply.

From the screenshot above, you can see that Windows 10 Creators Update will keep color presets. They will remain unchanged. In addition, the Color page in Personalization will keep recent colors you previously used, allowing you to have your own color presets.

The changes made in Windows 10 Creators Update look very promising and impressive. It is expected to be released in March 2017. However, Microsoft can exclude any of the introduced features in the final release or postpone them for the next feature update.

We will find out in a few months what features finally make it into the final Windows 10 Creators Update.

Microsoft still prioritising cosmetic changes over fixing the bugs and annoyances. (Dear Microsoft, how about fixing the flaky updates, the Control Panel/Settings mess, etc)

I swear that if Microsoft ran an ER (Emergency Room), a patient bleeding to death would be treated with a haircut and new shoes.

Instead of solving major issues (e.g. drivers compatibility etc.)

they prefer to focus on minor issues.

Not to mention that huge security exploit that GOOGLE discovered and went public about in Winblows 10 and Microsoft is mad about it:

LMFAO, cosmetic changes. Windows 10, the shemale of all operating systems.
