Batu69
Latest Redstone 2 build brings improvements for Start menu Start menu in latest Windows 10 build Microsoft is working to improve the user experience with the Start menu and the latest Redstone 2 build brings new tweaks in this regard, as it allows us to hide the app list completely. The result is a Start menu that looks more like the one in Windows 7, leading to a simplified interface that makes a little bit more sense for users who ae only now upgrading from the operating system launch in 2009. By default, the live tiles are still there in this simplified interface, but when clicking the app list view, the layout reminds more of Windows 7, which should help Windows 10 appeal to those who liked the old version of the Start menu more. To enable this new feature, users first need to hide the all apps view from Settings > Personalization > Start > Hide app list in Start menu. Top feedback request Microsoft claims this is a top feedback request from Windows insiders, and this is certainly true, especially because there were plenty of users who seemed to like the original design of the Start menu in Windows 7 more than the tile-based one in Windows 10. And truth be told, live tiles appear to survive no matter what in Windows 10, but at least Microsoft is making changes that simplify the Start menu and bring it closer to a more familiar look that so many people seem to love. For the moment, these new features are only part of preview builds shipped to Windows insiders, but depending on the feedback, they should become available for everyone in the Redstone 2 update due in the spring of 2017. More improvements are very likely to be included in the meantime, including new tweaks to the Start menu, but it all depends on the suggestions that insiders send to the company before the public release. RejZoR
I like my current Start from Redstone 1. Stop fucking shit up that works. If people can't get used to new one, fuck them. Same people would still stick with Windows XP if they could. Just freaking move on. Win 8 Start was a bit clumsy, but Win10 one is really good now. Third-party developers did a better job. You sir have very bad judgment if you are online with xp and xp was dead long before 10 came along people like you that want no change is part why some countries are dying as time progresses you have to go with the changes if you do not there is no growth with no growth we are stagnant and losing out fact is there are new hardware that could not be supported by xp properly just how the kernel is written. Now windows 7 is starting to face some of these struggles. Now if you were to completely rewrite the os then sure it would work but that is essentially a new OS right. Now windows 10 is far from perfect but so is 7, 8 and xp, xp was absolutely garbage when it first hit that's why they had 3 not 1 or 2 service packs because it was so broken for vast majority of people until sp3 then it was a great os but that time has come and gone it is now approaching 2017 even Linux from 2001 when xp was introduced has changed massively and also facing issues with support for new hardware and old hardware combined some of which is caused by that they directly conflict with each other. What works for one doesn't work for the other that's just the way it is. Now as new energy efficient techs come to the table those that choose to run hardware that is just obsolete and heavy on electricity is beyond me. I can say sure back in 2001 computers were expensive now they are not there are deals every year almost all year round to sell even latest tech at very low prices including icore 5's and icore 3's which are powerful processors and tech then the amd apu's. We all know AMD hasn't had an answer to performance in a very long time but their latest tech APU's on the 28nm node is impressive just for efficiency alone and the final stand for 28nm but wait until they do that with 14nm nodes intel still has issues with this efficiency and they are all the way down to 10nm nodes and trying to jump to 7nm before even introducing actually efficiency the power has been pretty stagnant since core gen2 why are they not even 50% more efficient over AMD's 28nm node. Well the market and corporations tied to intel aren't allowing true competition Intel has been busted in strong holding the market and all they get is a fine that was just a light scratch in their pocket books they could look the other way and not mind a bit. AMD has come up with a very powerful plan to disrupt this and I see it is working but will be even more successful once zen and zen+ hit the market next year. Now if you cannot afford latest gen then get one gen older but continuing to use 15 year old hardware you are just asking for problems whats to stop hackers from using your machine as a gateway to others or into your ISP you cannot stop a system that is not supported or monitored anymore because it is so broken for today's standards. If you never go online with it that is one thing but what the hell are you using it for?
