Batu69
Some users claim the update cannot be install and rolls back No cumulative updates without installation issues Microsoft has recently released Windows 10 cumulative update KB3193494 in order to bring the KB3189866 saga to an end, but it turns out that there are users who are experiencing issues with this new patch as well. Some of those who were offered the new cumulative update are reporting problems when attempting to install it, and the way it happens looks very similar to what others have experienced in the past. In most of the cases, the cumulative update fails to install, and it simply rolls back before getting users back to the desktop. The update is then reoffered and redownloaded before the system is once again rebooted to attempt the install. Users who couldn’t install the original KB3189866 update were confident that this new one fixes the problems, so they rushed to install it. “I have already read some issues with this update and that you should install the offline updater. It has the same problem. Microsoft released KB3193494 to resolve the download issue, so I tried again. Still the same problem,” one of them explains on Microsoft’s Community forums. Post-installation problems Others are reporting issues spotted after the update successfully installed on their computers and upon removal, everything seems to be returning to normal, which is living proof that this latest cumulative update is the source of the problems. “The latest update KB3193494 makes my network drive to become inaccessible. When I remove this update, everything goes back to normal. If the update KB3193494 gets reinstalled, the problem comes back,” another user whose computer is experiencing unusual behavior after installing this cumulative update said. For the moment, this doesn’t seem to be a widespread issue and Microsoft is obviously yet to acknowledge it, but it remains to be seen how many users are actually hit by the reported problems as more install it from Windows Update. steven36
Only its for people who didn't install KB3189866 this update is for... it dont show up in windows updates if you installed KB3189866 already. . http://www.tenforums.com/windows-10-news/64426-cumulative-update-kb3193494-windows-10-build-14393-187-14393-189-a.html For me , all i had to do is run windows update repair KB3189866 installed fine on both my pcs by doing this... Many downloaded KB3189866 offline and got it too install that way. http://news.softpedia.com/news/how-to-fix-windows-10-cumulative-update-kb3189866-getting-stuck-at-95-percent-508281.shtml So if you download KB3193494 and try to install over KB3189866 its going to fail because its not needed Its only for people who didn't get KB3189866 Im not uninstalling KB3189866 to try to update too KB3193494 because its not needed.. The fix is to fix a network transmission issue they had with KB3189866 is all . They reissued it in hopes they fixed the network transmission issue. Softpedia claimed 2 days ago that Microsoft would not try to fix it . http://news.softpedia.com/news/broken-windows-10-cumulative-updates-how-microsoft-deals-with-them-508461.shtml And they did try too fix it . this shows there news is heavily mixed with opinion , if you go back and look at many news articles in the past you will see they was not true at all . Most all these sites. Lurk at Microsoft and reddit.com and wait on someone to try too get help or complain and write a article and call it news Most people who dont have problems dont complain . Only people who have problems complain at these sites therefore all the news is based on problems. Drama and negativity They never follow up on all the people who fix there problems at these sites and they never write articles on the millions who didnt have a problem at all . So the news is a sham to draw you in to a doom and gloom mindset.
