Batu69
Office Online extension now available for Edge users Office Online extension in Microsoft Edge One of the most exciting improvements included in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is support for browser extensions in Microsoft Edge, as this feature opens the door to significantly extended functionality when navigating the web. One of the new features that are possible thanks to extension support is working with documents, and Microsoft has just announced that the Office Online extension is now up for grabs for all those who have already installed the Anniversary Update. “We want to bring Office to you wherever you are. The same award-winning Office Online extension available on Chrome is now available for Microsoft Edge. The extension puts an Office icon on the Microsoft Edge toolbar to give you direct access to your Office files, whether they are stored online or on your computer, thanks to integration with OneDrive and OneDrive for Business,” Microsoft has informed us today. The extension comes with the same features as on Google Chrome, so it allows users to easily create and open documents with Office Online, no matter if they are Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, or PowerPoint presentations. Additionally, the extension can open documents stored in OneDrive and OneDrive for Business and provide you with a list of the recently modified files for quick access. Available free of charge in the store The extension is available in the store and can be installed by anyone who is already running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on a PC (you can learn here how to install extensions in Microsoft Edge). Office Online is Microsoft's free Office suite that can be accessed straight in the browser and that makes it super easy to create and edit documents using just a Microsoft account. The company has already implemented Office Online in OneDrive and other services, so opening files stored in your account is pretty easy, and all you need is a browser. With this extension, accessing and working with your documents is faster than ever before, and since it provides the same functionality as on Google Chrome, you now have another reason to switch to Edge and leave behind all the other browsers.
