Maxhedroom
For me it's NIS2011, CounterSpy, and believe it or not BWMeter not only keeps track of my bandwidth but has a great firewall too (incoming and outgoing)...so I decide what gets net axx, keeps certain apps from phoning home. I have changed things up a bit recently ofc. Now it's NIS 2012 with SAS Pro v5, Hitman 3.5 and MWB Pro for catching anything sneaky. Got rid of BWMeter...noticed that it uses a ton of CPU when I d/l at full/fast speeds. I find myself using VirusTotal a little more than I used to. morteza
You can use clean memory for cleaning your memory and free you RAM.If you use multi Antivirus , i advise you use this software.I use this software and use NIS 2012+Panda cloud AV for real-time protection and MBAM and Hitman pro for on-demand scan.My laptop RAM is 4GB and with this software only 20% of RAM was used. lulz
You should change Emsisoft to scan On-Execution only instead of file scan since you have both WSA and Eset doing that.

majithia23
whoa ....!! slow down mate .. easy ... thats too much ! and i seriously doubt , the system especially a Windows PC will behave normal under such a setup . there is bound to be increasing number of conflicts , now and then . some evident and some in the background , some vanishing and some slowly compiling which would ultimately drag a machine down to its knees .. if not at present , then eventually in the long run ..... even if you turn off some modules from an application , still there are so many things in the program running in the background you never know . Norton Security products are a classic example of this ... My Setup -- OS -- Windows 7 Ultimate . Browser -- Firefox Add Ons -- WOT , Lastpass , Key Scrambler , Ghostery , Better Privacy , Track me Not , Flashblock , Bitdefender Quick Scan . Firewall -- Router and Windows Firewall Control . Scanners -- Active -- None . ( although use Eset SS , but removed it from last one month .. ) --- On Demand -- MBAM , Superantispyware , Hitman . ( all once in two weeks to a month . ) Added -- Sandboxie ( esp for opening unknown programs , RARs , unknown links .) , Scotty the Watchdog from WinPatrol , Virustotal windows menu extension ( quick chek up of things ) , DNS -- Google or Open DNS or Ultra DNS . which ever is the fsatest at the time . MVPS Hosts File and Peerblock ( not on a regular basis ) Secunia ( for keeping all the security patches installed and the software up to date ) Cleanning with CCleaner armed with CCEnhancer , System Ninja . Music -- AiMP 3 Video -- KMPlayer . and Common Sense , simply knowing what to , how to , when to , where to ... all works good for me ...

Administrator DKT27 Posted January 31, 2012 Administrator Share Posted January 31, 2012 With some thinking. I feel that it's best for the forums if we have only one general thread about it. Hence, both the threads, Whats your security setup? and My Security Configuration (by 6enii) are merged. ;)

Hence, both the threads, Whats your security setup? and My Security Configuration (by 6enii) are merged. ;) the above statement makes me laugh and it makes me wonder if you really want "whats best for the forums" why would you do things like this?!? //www.nsaneforu...__fromsearch__1 Why would a child-like spam post with (eventually) 10,000 spammy replies be good for the forums?
